Check at local resale shops. Don't know if you have them in the UK or not. Or check at a frabric shop they may know someone who makes them.

Hi,
I can see that you are in the UK. David Poppy From Cardiff runs a small business for magicians making Jackets ext. (I will try and find his contact details and PM you in a few days). Some times theatrical shops sell off the peg Lurex jackets similar to the ones worn by Tony Rix who has a running gag when he is compere of having a different coloured Jacket bettween each act. Tony lives somewhere down your way so look him up in the Yellow pages and ask him where he gets his. I always like to find a good tailor in my area and have them made for me as lurex wears very quickly and there are many other Foil fabrics ext that look better and wear better, available from large Fabric shops. Blacks in Blackpool springs to mind. phillip |

Try to find a shop that caters to a Black or Hispanic clientele. Their colour palette is far more diverse and their styling tends to be much more flamboyant. Here in the Seattle we have a store that has the most remarkable Zoot Suits in a wide variety of colours and styles that I continually drool over every time I walk buy. Eventually I will get a nice purple one as soon as I get my utili-kilt paid off.

As for the URL for T. Myers, it's http://www.tmyers.com
They have a huge selection of balloons and some really great pumps. Unfortunately, they have very little in the clothing line. (Aprons, Ties, socks) I've also been looking for a nice coat, suitable for clowning and magic. I'm thinking about making my own. I found a cool pattern for an Uncle Sam coat that might work well.

I wear a yellow suit I had tailor made in Thailand. I have brought several suits while visiting Bangkok, they have all been tailor made with
an excellent fit and at better price than a suit off the rack back at home. You can choose from a variety of bright unusual colours plus you can also get extra matching fabric in case you want to add a topit or such like inside. These are the two tailor shops I have used for my suits & I recommend both of them. http://www.ravistailor.com/ http://www.nibh.com/ You can send your body measurements in to them and order right over the internet.
