This sounds very promising!
The fact the hands are being burned should make the effect stronger and the price means it's something I can afford. I'm gonna keep an eye on this one. |

I do apologize kissadookie that I reacted defensive with my response. I didn't intend for it to come out as defensive (even though that may have been how I initially felt), but rather as a unsureness as to what you were getting at.
Hopefully everything is cleared up now and all is well. |

Yup, all is well. I think this clears it up a bit for others which were thinking along the similar path I was (for those who do not feel comfortable wearing rings, etc.).

I saw the open bend magic51 was showing on the Café last spring. Like many, I thought the bend looked very easy and good. No one knew the price and other details so I didn't want to comment on it. If it was going to be a thousand dollars it wouldn't matter to me how easy the bend is. Now we know it is going to be under $50. I have now seen the sneak peek of some routines of it and I can say I am impressed with what I've seen. I don't know how it works so I can't comment on the apporatus. The routines that I have seen (only a few) are full complete and quite clever. Doing these people won't know how you bent the coin. Because I knew the routines were showing a coin bend I could tell when the bend must have been done, but if it wasn't called a coin bend trick I'd never have a clue. I can understand the invisible concept here because you can look right at him as he does it and you don't see anything that looks like someone bending anything. You almost have to rewatch it to figure out when he must have done it.
High marks for the routines. Like russel scoggin said I see lots of potential for it. I look forward to its release. I can see it being the top bender on the market under 100 bucks for sure without a doubt. Good luck. |

Hey guys,
FWIW, here's my opinion... I own Coinvexed 2 Sharpie Edition. I think it's a great prop. Jason asked me to take a look at some footage of him performing a couple of his routines with his Absolute Coin Bender. Based on the video footage I saw, the ACB is every bit as good as CV2, and (again, based on the video footage) the bend itself is less noticeable and requires less effort. If the video footage is unedited and "real world" (and the footage he had me watch seems to be so), I think that this bender is every bit as good as "the big boys" and an incredible value. Full disclosure: I don't know Jason. I am not associated with him or with his product. He asked me to watch the footage and give him my honest opinion. That's all I've done. Regards, Scott

What about bending a spectator's key on the end that is shaped like a coin? No mistake that it's the same key... No need to mark it... Every time they open their house, they will remember you... not such a bad thing if it's a hot chick... Maybe she will give you the key... then again maybe not magic dork...

I've seen some clips of this and I like it a lot. The bend looks nice, and I can't wait to get one of these!

This thread is planned from the start... give a tiny piece of info and then the snowball effect begins only giving little bits and pieces on the journey down the long, long slope.. Before you know it, a slew of people are interested... sounds like a marketing scheme... I should know... I'm a marketing consultant... we want to see and hear more on this new piece you fiends!

Mmmmm I just lost my Coinvexed 2 sharpie (someone at a nursing home picked my pocket while doing walkaround last week....while it seems that way). Rather than buy another one let's see about this.

I also watched some clips and the bend looks absolutely real.
No suspicious fumbling of any kind... As of now I am an avid QB2 user and never leave home without it but will seriously look into this one.

Kissdadookie, you do not have to be apologetic for being defensive, in this day of a new and better gizmo popping up every five minutes, you have spoken for the majority of us, I read all the post's here and I find there is only one video, and based on that poor video, I would not buy this, several others have commented that they viewed other video's, where are these , how can we, the buyer base anything on what we see here in this thread, it showed nothing, it actually looked as though things were being hidden from the camera, I am tired of all this pre-sale hype, only to find, just days after it's release, there are many for sale here, sellers need to be better prepared, come out with a shorter pre sell , if you feel you need a pre sell at all, give us a strong demo, a price, and an accurate ETA.

This thread is absolutely to build awareness for the bender, no denying that.
And I thank the Café for having the Latest and Greatest forum to open topics on up coming effects. As per the rules of the forum, I have not tried to sell anything, convince people to buy, or use it for pre-orders. You will see that (with the help of kissadookie) I’ve written lengthy posts with information about the bender - much more info than you’ll see by any coin bender’s ad description or Café posts. The teaser is just that – a teaser. From it you can see the shape of the coins, shots of multiple routines, and coming winter of 2009. A while back I posted about my plans to put out the ACB. I asked for members of the Café who would be willing to see sneak peeks of the bender. A lot of people responded (my apologies to some because PMs expire after a while so I didn’t remember everyone who wrote to me), and I have asked respected members like Scott F. Guinn and Silvio Solaris to take a look and let me and others know what they think. For which I appreciate their time and comments. As kissadookie mentioned, there is a lot more to a complete bender than just the mechanism. The routines are just as important. Many of the comments have addressed that concern with comments about the strength of the routines. I appreciate everyone’s interest, understanding, support, and comments in this bender, from those who have posted here, to those who have sent me PMs. It's coming, I’m as anxious as many of you are for its release. |

All I've seen are a few bent coins (seen that before) and a closed hand opening to show a bent coin that was placed in it earlier (yawn). If there's anyone interested in this after seeing the clip then they're probably around 12 years old and have a paper round. Suggestion: what we don't need is to hear your mates telling us they've seen better clips, which don't seem good enough to show us (your non-mates)or you would have done so by now, correct? This isn't how to win friends OR influence people. What you do is get a couple guys in here who know a thing or two about bending and ask them, kindly, to work your effect and give a favourable review, if possible. Look and learn. See how the pros do it. It's NEVER done like this. Which is a shame since it's maybe a good product and it's just that you need help marketing it. If so... good luck. But the reason WHY QB2 sells at $500 is because they SHOW their product and a full unedited performance in real time, and that's an absolute fact.

I hear your suggestion (after getting past the negativity of it).
A few points about it though: The people (mates) that have commented do not know me, nor do I know them. As mentioned in my last post, I asked a few people to take a look, and a number of people asked me. For many of you who know some of the people who have commented, you know that they are honest, fair people, who know their stuff. The reason for the teaser is because the bender is not for sale yet. I said from the beginning a longer video would be out in time. But it won't be before the bender is available. I don't expect the teaser to be anything more than what it is. I have nothing to say against the QB, but as you know, it was out years before it put up its demo. Its $500 for more reasons than its demo. Its a great piece with or without its demo. Btw, what's a paper round? lol |

Magi51,
Sorry if I seemed negative. perhaps I should have been gentler. I guess I forgot that you've put a lot of work in which you probably take pride in and honestly believe in your product. Accept my apologies. It's just that I think you're handling this, well, wrongly. If there are better clips out there then excite me by showing me those better clips. That will WIN me and INFLUENCE me. And it will stop me in my tracks from purchasing another bender and have me wait another month for your release. A paper round by the way is what we call the route taken by a young person delivering morning papers. Here in the UK we place these through doors as opposed to the rude throwing of said newspapers we continually witness in the American movies we see. Grrrrrr, how rather uncouth! bobser
