Sorry, quiet day...

Obligatory gambling-related content to warrant this thread's existence and validity: I have a theory that Erdnase was actually Buster Keaton. Buster liked to play pinochle. Erdnase was nifty with cards. Just put two and two together and it all falls into place...

What has this thread to do with gambling?

Oh, c'mon! I mentioned Erdnase! Sheesh, what more could you ask for?

Arnold, my feisty friend over there in France, relax...

The comedy bit about posting links to non-gambling related videos was funny once, maybe even twice.......but now it's not so funny, and it's really not related to this forum in any way.

Perhaps once the humor component has gone (which it now has), it's time to return to gambling related material of interest.

There's 50 other forums on the Café to post junk links in, so it probably won't be a hardship to stop posting them here.

Thank you for setting me straight.

Let's return to discussing the Pope and whether or not the Wiz still has breasts, shall we...

That was worse than stupid. It wasn't even near funny. I can't see how anything like that clip posted here or any where else could even be thought of as being funny.

Hey, I didn't say you were getting a recently found, new episode of Seinfeld...

Is it stupid? Yes. Is it funny? Mildly (perhaps very mildly). As a former newspaper humour columnist, I thought a few others might get a smile or even a chuckle out of it. Apparently not. I didn't realize it would be critiqued. Is it in the wrong forum? Yes. Should I have posted it elsewhere? Yes. Should I have posted it at all? It doesn't matter one way or the other. Frankly, I, and I'm sure most others, don't care one iota.

It appears seriousness is the order of the day now here in the Gambling Spot. Now that Doc, Z etc etc don't hang around here much anymore, there's essentially nothing of real substance posted anyway (though the odd gem does pop up from time to time). If a little mischief is not welcome, and there's nothing of substance, where does that leave us?

I should have never even been posted where you found it. It isn't near funny or even mildly entertaining.

From what I have seen of your posts on the Café your nothing more than a troll that likes to cause problems.

Smile If I had a casino I would use Jumbo cards as a security measure.
If there is a single truth about Magic, it is that nothing on earth so efficiently evades it.

RS1963: Sorry about that, national personality trait. But don't worry, I promise to be a more law-abiding, sensitive and caring Magic Café citizen from now on. Here's a thought, what about I PM you all my potential post ideas so that you can veto anything that displeases you. Deal?

Tommy, LOVE IT! And what about for roulette you use those rat/mouse roulette wheels you see in some events?! That would confuse people coming in with roulette computers! Just searched everyone who smells of muesli with huge pockets (the cards lol) lol.

I'm done so Hansen or Mark whoever you really are you won't have the chance to pleasure yourself while making stupid remarks made to me.

I remember far more interesting and on-topic posts from you in times past Hansen, why the new troll act?

Boredom? Sport? Not sure really. I was just trying to keep the show rolling until something of real interest and substance appeared. Guess that's what happens when things get real quiet at work. Too much time usually equals mischief for me. But I promise to behave from now on...

Funny, when I was a teenager someone gave me a deck of Johnny Walker playing cards which were made larger than a standard poker deck. yet, I had no problems doing sleight of hand. Palming cards was not even much more difficult, especially with the black borders on the cards.

Now, of you uses onec of those jumbo decks...then, I guess I would have to resort to marks Smile ... and those jumbo cards have nice long edges....

Ok, ok, I get the point.

But I am slightly puzzled by one thing: For apparent cheats, hustlers and crooked characters, haven't we become a little too sensitive, humorless and, dare I say it, sticklers to the rules?

You could say a lot of things about the cheats, hustlers and crooked characters I've run into over the years, but you couldn't accuse them of being sensitive, disapproving of a laugh or two, or respectful of rules and authority.

Have I misread the folks that frequent The Gambling Spot? Is this simply another forum for magicians? Perhaps this is why Doc and Z and others don't bother hanging around here much anymore?

I'm just asking...

Or you may be overreacting.

It really doesn't matter who comes around and who doesn't......it just matters what the folks who do come around want to see posted.

As I mentioned earlier, the Café has dozens of forums where you'd have found folks laughing so hard at your link you yourself would have probably be embarrassed.

Probably time to move off this topic though.
