The BBC’s show the sorcerer’s apprentice? I admit, I’ve stumbled on it by accident, and have been watching it on iplayer over the last week or so. Although it’s a children’s show, I think it is excellent for beginners. It concentrates on the most important aspects of magic such as presentation, dedication, practice and showmanship. Since it shows people actually learning, you can see the value of the simple advice given on forums like magic Café every week.

It is also very fun to watch, filled with great pieces of short magic by professional magicians, which shows what can be achieved with dedicated practice.

And best of all, it shows how to learn magic without exposing any secrets.

Thanks tomterm8. Checking it out now.

As a matter of fact I saw a CBBC comedy show at my friend's house this morning - it was actually pretty funny!
