It could be something new to show if you have a regular act... like when everyone knows your main figure already... but this time he walks with you instead of you carrying him as you enter the stage...
I want one

Didn't some ventriloquists of the music hall and Vaudeville era, around the turn of the 20th Century, use walking figures?

Good Wanlu, then you can give us a review of how that company is to deal with.

So much for that idea.....
Guess if I decide to get one at some point, I will just have to decide if I want to take a gamble on it.

Ouch! Just registered for the site, put one in a cart to get the total with shipping - 415.38 (134. for shipping) - that might make me have to think about it a lot more, especially with not being able to find any reviews on dealing with that company.
Looking at the video, the wood part of the construction is pretty simple, boarsd for the arms and legs, I may just work on figuring out how to make one myself, with a little ingenuity, I might be able to figure out on my own how to do the walking mechanism.

I can see that a creative mind could do some wonderful gags with this. Think of Clifford Guest chasing his figure around the stage when it came time to put him in the case.

When a crowd is familiar with your figure, the walking thing could be cool. Imagine Walther walking in with Jeff in one of their regular shows...

Im guessing the Macks and Frank Marshall used to make walking figures... does anyone know if those Marshall walking figures have the capability to sit like a regular figure?

Here's a picture of an old Quisto figure that apparently both walks and sits:

I have 3 Frank Marshall walking figures and Wanlu the answer is they will in fact sit if the chair is the correct height. You must remember that the upper and lower part of the legs are wood which are jointed at the hip and knee. So a correct chair height is a must for them to sit.

I didn't know the answer to whether they could sit or not, if I had taken a guess, I would have guessed "no", but I've never seen one up close and personal.
