I am looking for a screen to project a video onto. Something I can take to my shows, unfold and is big enough to project a decent size video onto. The smaller it breaks down the better. Thank you.

That's suppose to say Sam by the way. I'm thinking about bringing a projector and screen to a few of my stage shows. That would make it much easier to perform close up magic then. Thank you.

I just did some research on the blow up screens. I am not looking for a giant screen. A 9 foot screen would be reasonable. Do you know where I can find one for a reasonable price, possibly even used?

You might want to try the F/X forum.

Do a Google search for Draper Screens, Stewart Screens and Daylite… each are large manufactures of screens.

Good luck,

You can actually find the blow up screens at walmart! they make a 9' screen as well. again I think they are fun and they are really light weight and man do they pack small!

one of the other screens that I have used is a tripod screen don't know the exact name but its very cool its about 9'long and about 8"diamater but opens up into a 9'x8' screen and is all self contained. I will see if I can find the info on it for you.

I acctully use the SPANDEX 9' SCREENS that a lot of DJs are using during gigs. It stretches accross your light trussing. Also, Hancocks Fabrics has 9'foot wide Muslin fairly cheap. I got 3 yards for $24.00 to make a 9'x9' screen for a backdrop during my last show. We played with it some, and found it acctuly made an excelent projection screen if needed, at least for projecting your close up magic so the people in the back could see.
making the unreal, real...really!

I have a 8x8 screen. I believe it is a Da-Lite screen. It does break down, but it is still big when broken down. The hard plastic case is about 5' long. It reminds me of a rocket launcher case (like you would see in a movie).

my point is to make sure what ever you buy, does indeed break down as small as you want it to.
