Hi there,
I found a really nice backdrop online a few months back but like a fool I forgot to bookmark the site so I was wondering if anyone here would know what it is. It looks almost like it has curtains. I think it attaches to a spider frame type of thing too. The one I saw had a solid colour as a background, I think black, and then what looked like velvet red curtains in front of that. From the pictures it looked amazing. Any ideas, or links to what you think it might be would be super. Thanks for your help, Ros

Try http://www.magicbackdrops.com. This sounds like what you are describing. I just got one a few weeks ago, and it's really nice. Seems like it's very well made.

You might also search trade show displays. There's quite a bit of design overlap, and greater range of prices than you'll find with most magic shops.

Stevens Magic Emporium carries the SPIDER brand backdrops. I have one and really like mine...
http://www.stevensmagic.com/index.php?ma......id=10345 Ultimately it's all about finding something the packs small but looks professional when it's up. (Magicians with sagging backdrops are one of my pet peeves). |

Don't know how crazy you wanna get or what your application is but Roscolux makes curtains and translucent scrims. They're expensive but good. They also have a bunch of other theatrical products you may find useful.
