I loved Callan but I was not a fan of his other rolls. I am sory to hear of his death.

Yep, Callan was great. Great writing, no frills, nice cold war and class warfare issues and some absolutely rutheless Hunters... I got a Callan dvd a while back and it had the episode where Callan is wargaming with some colonel or other who issues orders that his artillery is to fire on his own troops if Callan tries to come through a valley... That made a lasting impression on me when I was a kid. The Equaliser was tat. I read Woodward said after the pilot that he would hock his house if it were a hit...
