Sweetly Done is the coin to sugar packet effect on steroids, adding a visual element that looks like trick photography. Shane Black's new handling of this classic effect not only adds a visual element but it also adds a convincer that makes it clear that it's THEIR SIGNED coin inside the sugar packet. Sweetly Done is easy to do and uses a clever idea to eliminate sleight of hand and makes an already great effect even better. Sweetly Done is great for people who enjoy doing magic in bars and it's perfect for the restaurant worker. Points to remember: The packet can be placed in their hand before the penetration and after. They can actually feel the packet proving that there is no quarter in the packet before the penetration and actually feel the quarter inside the packet after the penetration. The construction of the gimmick is very easy and takes very little time. Here is the link http://www.papercranemagic.com/sweetlydone.htm

I just purchased this. I had the slight of hand version by Tim David but there were aspects of it I didn't like. So I downloaded this routine. I have to say I like it. It was somewhat the method I thought, only better. It is clean and the construction of the gimmick is rather easy.
His routine uses your own quarter but I prefer to borrow the coin. If one isn't available then use your own. Have them take out their coin and initial it with a Sharpie. Well worth the price. -Ron |

Hi Ron, Does the coin have their initials on it or the magi's initials on it?

Hey guys to answer your questions. Yes, the quarter can be borrowed. This method was designed to allow the spectator to handle the packet before and after the penetration giving that extra kick in the performance. There is no funny handling, finger clips, or body shifting to hide the coin. The packet is clearly ripped in front of the spectator and poured directly into their hand with the sugar assuring it's their coin. Hope this cleared up any questions you may have about Sweetly Done it's a great walk around effect for the worker. Thanks

Thanks Ben,
I got a few PM's with some questions so I'll try and clear some of those questions up here. You can use any coin from any country relative to the size of a US quarter. No, you can't have the spectator rip the sugar packet you will need to have a small degree of control over your audience but very little. Remember this is a gimmick not real magic but you can show both sides of the packet and hands empty, as well as have the spectator feel the quarter in the packet before ripping it open and showing it to them. Also this is not a difficult gimmick to make in fact it's very easy but it plays big. Your paying for the experience and little details to make this effect unbelievable. I have performed this effect hundreds of times table hopping as well to other magicians and all of them will go crazy it looks as close as I can make it to real magic in the real world. You won't be dissapointed. Thanks and let me know if you have any other questions guys I'll do my best to help. Shane |

One more thing construction of the gimmick shouldn't take more than four minutes each I usually make about 5 or 6 before each show in less than half an hour. Also you won't need to set anything up in any sugar caddies I teach in detail how to get the gimmick on the table in the cleanest way possible.

It's not a problem King for the money its not much for having the tools available to you to get an awesome prop. The method is not as evident as you may think this is a good deal. Thanks!

Just bought and dwnload it. The method is as expected. But it is a very thoughtful and solid little trick. The teaching is excellent and the advice is very useful too.
I got the old classical sugar pack and Tim David's version. Sweetly done is a more practical method but the clean up at the end may not be as 'safe" as the other two. However. reasonable specator control skill and presentation should let you off the hook. Overall, it is well worth the moeny |

I assume you crumple the empty packet and place it in your pocket at the end.
I am getting so tired of slitting the throats of people who say that I am a violent psychopath.

Actually you rip the rest of the packet open and show it to them.

I sure hope it's not Sweetly Done 2.0. (lol)
I purchased this to see if it was what I was thinking it was, and you mister are one smart little devil. Very clever indeed. I thought I had a hunch, but you got me on this. I like the method, very simple and practical for the working magician as well as the hobbyist. I like to think of myself as being bold with my magic, and this will work very well in my repertoire. I guess you CAN teach an old dog like me a new trick. |
