Hi,
I have posted a teaser trailer on my site for Born To Perform Card Magic, Penguin Magic's upcoming DVD of me performing magic on the Las Vegas Strip. Be sure to check it out and tell me what you think! http://www.watchmagic.com/vids/Born%20to......agic.wmv Thanks, Oz |

It will be nice to see Oz doing some of his own material. He's above average as far as performing sleights, but watching him in the demo videos is, at times, stomach turning.
I realize the purpose of the videos is just a demonstration, and not an actual "performance" of the effects. But listening to the hokey, meaningless patter reminds me of too many bad magicians I've seen throughout my life. That's why it will be nice to see Oz performing his own routines that he uses in his own shows, as opposed to the pitches (don't get me wrong, I appreciate the service and being able to see a product in action before I buy it.) Good luck with the DVD. |

Darn you're good! Although I am missing a little bit of showing the contents done.

This is a teaser trailer, so I'm sure another one will be put up nearer to the date of the DVD release with more magic. I corrected the error about the whet or wet typo. As far as the demo videos, my working repertoire does not include every trick that I demo, which I'm sure you can guess since I've demoed well over a hundred effects by this point. Therefore, I present the trick as well as I can based on the circumstances. You will see a much different side of me when performing for actual audiences than on demos because this is real world stuff. I think that the DVD will be a hit because not only is the street performance footage great, but the contents of the DVD, all of the sleights, flourishes, card controls, false cuts, forces, and other foundations of card magic, were selected because of their versatility and importance to card magic. This is not an encyclopedia of card magic, like others on the market, but a compressed and refined format with only the best material included. The tricks taught are top notch, and true "workers". This is a DVD I wish I could have purchased years ago.

Oz-
I completely understand the nature of your demo videos. It's obvious you only have a couple of minutes to think about the presentation before you demo the trick. The sad part is, your presentation with only a few minutes of thought is on par with much of what I've seen performed in front of real spectators by other magicians. Not very good. I'm looking forward to the DVD. |

I think I may actually pick up your DVD once it comes out. I purchased from Penguin before, and your demo vids were quite fair in showing the effect, and have influenced my choice a number of times.
Thanks. |
