Arthur Buckley's "Card Control" has been my favorite "old" book. Seeing that Buckley has published other works, I'm very interested in acquiring them. Does anyone have any experience with his book "Principles and Deceptions". It seems to have a section on performance theory and tactics, an extensive coin section, and a smaller card section. It's seems like a great old book that will spark my creativity. Any comments are appreciated.

Yep, I had the Buckley trilogy about 30 years ago. Not sure what they ae like in there current incarnation, the photos in mine years back were very dark. Card Control I thought was the best of the three, but this one is good two, if in some respects dated. Since I assume it will be low priced (Dover reprint?) worth getting.
The other Buckley book was Gems of Mental Magic. I didn't like that and got rid many years ago. Perhaps now I might appreciate it more. Always worth going back to some of the source material Paul. |
