A friend and I are putting together an act for an event we have in the fall. (I know, practicing early) We are both jugglers, but have only juggled solo before. What are some ideas you have for two-person juggling besides the classic toss across? Plus any tips for starting the basic toss across with clubs? If this is really vague, I apologize. Thanks!

There are many options. There is a book called "Patterns a manual of club passing". I don't have this book, but it looks like a good resource (expensive at $35.00) You could also work on back to back passing and different rhythms such as everys, 3 count, and PPS. You can also do a three club run-around where you keep stealing the clubs from each other while juggling. Some people do this with a hat and it looks really good.

You should also check out Dave Finnigan's video "Complete Juggler". It is dated, but has so much material in it. Here are a few links: http://www.multihobbies.com/juggling/

Hope this helps,
Philip

It's always best to figure out how you're going to throw the club at your opposite. Start with one club each, and get the "throw & catch" worked out.

Once your comfortable with that, pick up 3 clubs each and juggle opposite each other and get your timing matched exactly (which can be challeging), then start by exchanging one club back and forth a few times.

Good luck!!

James.

You might also practice with balls if you have never passed before. Juggling from Start to Star by Dave Finnigan and Compendium of Club juggling are also good books to read.
