Oh Wow! I just did this with a little milk in the kitchen for my wife and her sister.........Awsome! They jumped back and when I crushed the cup, I just threw it out and they didn't even look in the garbage! They're reaction was classic.

"Oh wow" is right! I just received mine today. My wife and I looked at the video and practiced with a ceramic mug. This is absolutely fantastic. I have to say that I was expecting something way different. I was very happy to see the quality of this product. I was a little thrown off by the comments made on this thread by people who I know to be good people who were saying the quality was very nice and would last a long time---I thought to myself "How much quality could there really be---after-all it's probably a simple gimmick." Well I am very happy to say that this is a fine quality product that will indeed last many years and is very easy to do and will garner the responses we hope for.
As I have promised when I think of an idea I will always share it with other magicians and mentalists. I have an idea I told my wife Amy about and she liked it so here goes. On my next trip to Disneyland I will be buying one of those Mickey Mouse cups with him as the wizard. I will explain to my audience that it is a very magical cup---it is a time machine! I will sip the coffee then in a twinkling of the eye---go back in time to when my coffee was just coffee beans. BTW the coffee bean one is not new just the idea of it being done in the magical Mickey cup. Anyway please feel free to use it if you like it. Final thoughts: Mr. John Kennedy really did it again. This is a brilliant effect and one I will use often. I highly recommend it. Good magic to all, Eric |

I've waited long enough. I'm ordering mine.
Hasn't Mr. Kennedy created enough mind-blowing magic by now to have proven himself? I don't know John, but given his track record, I'm fairly certain he does his homework before he releases an effect. This one, looks like no exception. This thread made me tired. Now I need some coffee.
Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain.

To Magicman1957, in response to your question, yes, the liquid does look real because it IS real. The effect is really good; just not something I would find myself using often. From some of the later posts, I think many have discovered ways they can use it.

You guys will all be glad you did. I will tell you this much---if I lost mine somehow I would replace it right away. I think as more people use this and they start to feel comfortable with it you will see more ideas coming out. For me I will mostly use the coffee to coffee beans because it is so clean.
Good magic to all, Eric |

Received mine a few days ago.
One of my best investment in magic, a trick in a miracle class. You can save your coffee cups, and do this anywhere. I've done it for my wife in the kitchen---she was floored. The gimmick will last forever, nothing to replace. TrickyRicky |

I use my ceramic coffee mug and do coffee to beans. The beans end up dry and they can take the mug from you and examine it with a microscope.

Xigual - I like your Idea with the Coffe to candy for Kids. I wonder why everyone thinks this has to be performed in a coffe shop ? It will work in any Show your a magician Coffe to beans ! Coffee to Candy ! Coffee Gone!. I always arrive 40 minutes early to my shows with a cup of coffee in my hands, Now enough about coffee time to place my order.

To any of the owners of this effect:
Could the gimmick be stolen away with a GECKO. Or tossed in a topit? Or is it to large? Thanks, Metatron |

Are you limited to a particular size mouth of the cup or mug?
Well maybe I just wait until some snot nosed kid exposes it on You Tube. |

Metatron: John shows you hot to end clean, no other devices required!
Powermagic: There are SOME limitations that I won't get into here, but Mojoe should work in most cases. John, I LOVE this one! Great thinking! Go MoJoe!
It would really be quite tragic
if the world had to do without magic! |

I'll jump on the bandwagon too. I just received this and I think it's great. The gimmick is wonderfully produced, and the instruction is thorough, relaxed, and fun to watch.
I have no background in vanishing liquids, so maybe I'm more impressed by the gaff then say, a more knowledgeable magician, but the design and the build is top notch. Personally, I don't see myself ever performing this in a coffee house. I'm more of a 'coffee to go' kind of drinker, so double cup my Venti, and now the world is my stage. I think I'll probably use the coffee to bean effect at home the most. Anyway, this is a winner. Now if I go to a Starbucks and see three people vanishing their coffees, I'll know we have a saturated Mojoe market. |

I got mine a few days ago, when I got it I looked at it and thought I paid $xx.xx for this. Then after watching the DVD and doing it in front of a mirror and on video, I thought in the right setting it will put the look on their face that will be will worth the cost of the effect.

Anyone experiencing a slight but noticeable "squeak" while performing this, like I am? Any solutions?

Would this work with something a little thicker, such as a smoothie? Asking because I'm looking to do something with Tropical Smoothie Café.
