Here are three trivia questions: two are about the classic movie, "The Wizard of Oz" and the last question is about a U.S. ten-dollar bill. See if you know the answers! Correct answers to all three questions are shown below.
1) In the "Wizard of Oz", what is Miss Gulch's first name? 2) In the "Wizard of Oz", what is the name of Professor Marvel's horse (this scene is right before the cyclone scene when Dorothy runs away from home). 3) How many cars are depicted on the back of a U.S. ten-dollar bill? Answers: 1) Almira Gulch 2) Sylvester is the horse's name 3) 4 cars are depicted

I work at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. During a recent appearance there by Roger Baum, great-grandson of Frank L. Baum, author of the Wizard of OZ, he mentioned that the question of Miss Gulch's name comes up frequently.
He went on to say that Miss Gulch's first name is Elmira, not Almira. |

I thought that the first name might be spelled with an "E" rather than with an "A" like I said. The source I used had an "A", and I suspected that was an error. Thanks for clearing it up!
