As nice as this effect is, unfortunately the quote from Heinrich Heine is not correct - he was killed by his "Knechten" (see: http://www.heinrich-heine.net/belsad.htm), the word "Kuechter" does not exist in german and therfore the quote as it is at the moment does not make any sense...

My On the Blood just came in and I have to say, I really love this effect. Here is my review…

My order was shipped just before Christmas and it just came in, so the international post took a while. Once my order was received, Dan emailed me the instructions. It was a 15 page document that was very detailed. There was extensive information about the life and death of the Romanovs. If you like weaving a good story into your performance, you will like this. The method is very easy and self working.

When I opened the box, I was very happy because the package was wrapped with a Russian newspaper and old twine. This fits very well with the story line on how you received the package. I thought this was a nice touch and the attention to detail was fantastic.

The package is a picture frame type box with 7 pictures of the Romanovs hidden behind the frame. The frame looks great and the quality is exceptional!
All pictures have a bit of blood splattered on them except for Anastasia’s picture. The effect is basically a selection process to prove Anastasia always escapes the executioner’s bullet, based on the old Anastasia conspiracy theory. The pictures/cards are a bit smaller that I would like (roughly 3X4 inches). I was hoping they would be the same size of the “From Hell” cards. But overall, they look great (especially with the blood) so it is not that bad that they are smaller.

Overall, I am more than pleased with this effect! If you like beautiful props with a fantastic story line, this is for you. I think Dan has outdone himself on this one and I am very happy to have one of the first sets to hit the market. I will be using this a lot.

The only problem is Lebanon Circle is closed until next month so you guys will have to wait to place your order.

Dan (Lebanon Circle) keeps on turning the best stuff on the market.I enjoyed reading Waynecapps describtion of the effect and loved the added touch of the Russian Newspaper!
I hope I will not have to wait too long.
