In my first magic set there was a pretty little effect with about a 2-3" cardboard die, a cardboard box that it fit in, and something "special" that made the trick work. The effect was that you take the die from a container, place it in the box, and after the magic words etc. you show the box empty, and remove the die from the container it was in at the beginning.
Mine is wearing out, and I would like to know if this trick is on the market somewhere. I am NOT looking for the wooden sucker die trick, though I think that in the working they may be similar.

Not much help, but there is a small plastic version of the sucker die box, the die being about 1" square. I have one, but really no clue where I got it (it was a dealer item, not part of a magic set).

What was the following called?
A ( fairly sizeable ) die rests on quite a large silk. It is covered with a box, the corners of the silks are lifted and the die quite magically appears ( descends down )thru the cloth. Cardboard, but nicely made. Had one in the seventies. In some versions the spots have disappeared. |

I still have my original, it is just looking a bit worn out. By the way, the die is probably more like 5", not 3". The box that it went into had two large holes cut out of it, one in the lid and one on a side. It came from a Marshall Brodien (sp?) Magic Top Hat set.
