I would like to keep as many of my tricks as I can out in the open, examinable for all my friends to see and handle before I show them the trick.
I've compiled this list of tricks that I think fit the criteria (but since I don't own all of these please let me know if I am wrong about any)
I'm sure there are many that I've missed. If you know of others would you mind adding them. Those that I don't own will go on my wish list.
Thanks,

animation frame
burglar ball
crossroad ?
crystal cleaver
cubio
flash dice (my favorite)
glass board
invisible zone
krazy keys (after, not before?)
magic painting
moon spinner
mystery triangle
presidents cabinet
prison box
soft coins
squeeze play
zone infinity

I find very few are truly fully examinable. On your list I think these are risky:

animation frame - I can't imagine someone not finding the gimmick with this one

crossroad ? - you have to hide the gimmick so performing it would be tough unless you always have the gimmick ready

invisible zone - I've read that people often don't even find the gimmick in the pen but I find that hard to believe.

krazy keys (after, not before?) - okay for display but how would you perform it at a moments notice unless you have the gimmick ready?

presidents cabinet - love this one but you can't let people play with it forever

prison box - again, they can't have it forever or they'll eventually see something move

To your list I'd add all of the mentalism effects I have like:

Diabolicus
Fortune Sticks
Birdwatcher
etc etc etc

Also these:

Mystery China Box - as long as they don't snoop too long

Confined Cubes - if its set up and ready I don't think this would be obvious in some one's hands briefly

Ultimate Shocking Pen - fantastic but not too impressive to display

Enchanted Strings - maybe

Future Clock - Clock out of the case

Dragon Altar

Lancelot

Ultra Slice - I can't even always remember how to work the gimmick. Great one.

Wonder Window - clever like Mystery Triangle

Sandwich Platter - briefly

Dynamic Coins

While we're here... what do you think of Magic Painting? I'm thinking of getting this.

Eye of the Idol !

I would not include Enchanted Strings on that list, while I might allow the spectator to pull on the strings I would not hand it out to be freely handled.

Fair enough. I was going to say Eye of the Idol too. Again you can't let them play too long but its too nice not to display.

How about Merlin's Coffer?

I think what really counts is being examinable after the trick is done. That's when people really want to take a look at it and see if they can figure it out.
So I would call crossroads and similar tricks examinable.
With Invisible zone I will usually take the gimmick off and hold it openly in my hand while they examine the pen. It does not look suspicious at all and they usually don't ask for it.

I would also add:

Lucifer's Lock
Lucky Rabbit
Telestar
Alpha Tunnel
Sycro Boxes (at least for a short time)
Koornwinder Kar
X-Ray File (Maybe for a short time?)
Billscape (when doing the credit card version)
Infinitum
Frame of Destruction ?
Tunnel of Darkness
Knife of the Ninja
Mira Metal

Although on the last 3 you must be able to get rid of the gimmick smoothly first.

Magic Painting is an excellent trick and one of my favorites. This one takes a little more practice than your average Tenyo trick as there is a card slight involved. You also have to dump the gimmick for it to be examinable at the end but if done smoothly it leaves people floored.

I forgot that Infinitum locks so that's an excellent one.

Ed's question was about tricks that are examinable before performance and many Tenyos can not be examined at all or for very long before they are perfomed.

Thanks for the information on Magic Painting. One more to add to the list. Smile

Right. Sorry I missed that part.
So if you are using that criteria then I would still add these as being examinable before and after:

Lucifer's Lock
Lucky Rabbit
Telestar
Sycro Boxes (at least for a short time)
Koornwinder Kar
X-Ray File (Maybe for a short time?)
Infinitum
Frame of Destruction ?

Also I guess you could call Mystery Poodle examinable as well.

Mark mentioned ultra slice?

I thought the bottom tray would not be examinable becos of slot alignment issues?
I'm trying to be as vague as I can.

For the tray cover, you certainly don't want people to snoop around very long Smile

And I listed soft coins, but if I leave it so it's examinable I would have to hide it while I set the gimmick before performinmg. Hmmm.
Thanks for the ideas.

Edshern, About your list, most have been discussed yet, but here are a few personal opinions.

Burglar Ball (and/or Crystal Box) - OK, before and afterwards. One of my favourites.
Crossroads - same as Mark said. It's a very good trick, though not examinable unless you are a bit of a skilled magician imho. The trick itself also isn't very easy to do.
Crystal cleaver - OK, afterwards
Cubio - OK
Flash Dice (my favorite) - OK
Glass Board - OK, but Mystery Triangle is better, Glass Board has been copied so many times a lot of people know the trick.
Invisible Zone - You would need a duplicate of the pen that actually writes (a shame Tenyo didn't make the pen able to write Smile )
Moon spinner - I would say no unless a duplicate is there and you are skilled.
Presidents cabinet - hmmmm ... haven't got that one yet. Need ... to ... buy ... NOW! Smile
Soft coins - OK afterwards, the gimmick is easily locked at the end of the trick.
squeeze play - OK
Zone infinity - I wouldn't give it for CLOSE examination

I also have Sandwich Platter examinable, for that you need the trick 2 times however (anyone who owns the tricks knows why).

More effects that are 95 % safe before AND after the trick:
Fortune sticks
Funny Dog (sleight of hand (soh) required)
All the Sponge Ball tricks (soh required)
Dynamic coins (be carefull though)
Coin in Nest (adjusted a bit)
Super Phanto Block, one of my favourites. Some people know the 'cheap' version of this trick, but don't know about Tenyo's locking mechanism. Excellent Smile
Sponge Rabbit (some soh required)
Tunnel of darkness (after 'dumping' ...)
Alpha Tunnel (after 'dumping' ...)
Silver express (after 'dumping' ...)
Bird Watcher
Grand Derby Predicion (my favourite close up Tenyo trick!!!)
Mystery China Box if spectators are 'carefull' ... (same goes for Prison box by the way)
Vault Vision

A 30 minute limit to edit a post ... didn't know that ... .

So, some of the things that I wanted to add/change:

I have had succes performing Glass Board, people know how I did it and then do Mystery Triangle. They are clueless Smile

I would like to add these tricks to my list of '95 % safe to examine' (I 'investigated' my collection Smile )

- Coin Through Match
- Coin and Glass (afterwards)
- Against Gravity (after 'dumping' ...)
- Card Case (afterwards) - people think they know the trick, but they are fooled by Tenyo's version Smile)
- Little Saving Box
- Mirage: because it works, no magic, just good old Tenyo engineering (more of a riddle when you give it out for examination actually)
- Silver Express: with a litle soh
- Nostradamus Clock: wonderfull 'locking' mechanism!
- Parabox at the end
- Ultimate Shocking Pen if it IS the same as 'Pen through Dollar' (I don't have Ultimate Shocking Pen ...)

That's a bout it I suppose Smile

That's about 33 tricks to buy at $33 each = $1089
DO NOT tell my wife, she thinks I get them at the Everythings a Dollar store Smile
Thank you for the effort everyone, it is appreciated.

1089? Isn't that the Math trick we all know so well from our first magic book? Now that's a freaky coincidence for you all, or is it?

Wish I still worked for Tenyo, then I would buy everything and test them out.

Frame of Destruction - its examinable, simple and clever.

Merlin's Coffer- not the cover though...

Bird Watcher - I have had people with a keen eye, observing that the numbers on both sides are not exactly random but has a certain order apart, and that one side are odd numbers, I wished they had made it even more "random"

Mystery triangle really is a fooler and very examinable. This topic persuaded me to pick it up and I am sure glad I did. So far everyone just is totally baffled by this. I actually like it better than Soft Coins.
