John has had a few setbacks. But it will be done.

There is a videoclip of Del Ray on youtube at
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mk0LbHg-8Es&feature=related

I'm not sure, but I think it's from an appearance at a Tannen's Jubilee. Dick Cavett is one of the spectators. The sound quality is not great, but one would think that a good audio engineer would be able to tweak it to something more acceptable so that it could possibly be included as an extra with the forthcoming book, along with Del's appearance on the Sullivan show. (It would be a great bonus extra even with the slightly garbled soundtrack.)

You won't see Del on the Sullivan show due to legal reasons....however, it is written up in great detail in the book. The book is 448 pages long with many photos of Del.

The book is at the printers, will sell for $68, and will include a great DVD with 14 or 15 performances. Expect to be able to purchase the book in about 6-8 weeks.

It's always nice to see someone get their due. Sounds like an incredible project and maybe a good book to put on my holiday list.

I got mine today and read the whole thing. This is just gold. Kudo's to all involved in this project. I use to see Del Ray on the trade show circuit and he will be missed. The old timers were still the best.

I picked mine up from Bill Spooner at NEMCA last weekend. I have not had time to read it yet but very very happy with my first glance throughs.

Since several photos of mine were not used in the book, I may figure out a way to post them (with protection imbedded).

A very nice feature of the book is the dvd of performance. Nothing will ever match Del for technique with his personality.

I'm awaiting my copy, should be here in a couple of days. Years ago I signed up at a couple different conventions he was scheduled to be at and he
cancelled both. So I never did get to see him. Did he ever lecture? Did he discuss his methods with other magicians?
