Is there any printed reference for Nice Salad anywhere? I don't like DVDs...

Nice Salad is in "What's Up Deck?"

It is $10 download from Aldo or Lybrary.com (which lists the contents)

Aldo occasionally has discount promotions if you are on his mailing list.

I am a big fan of Aldo so it is hard for me to pick favorite effects, He has done so much for the community of Magic. I love he has everything on his site for only $10, That is amazing it is like a $1 a trick.

I don't really have my five but there are three tricks that I do quite often and are simply a bomb for my audience:

-Contact Colors
-Shenanigans
-10 Card Poker Deal

Some effects I find strong are ( in no particular order ):
1) Jumbo Coincidence
2) Pick me pick me not
3) Pyramid
I found them in two dvds - On the Cards and Standing Room Only - I purchased at Lybrary.com.
Not five, but I've purchased an ebook as well, The Close Up Magic of Aldo Colombini ( the seller being always Lybrary.com ), that I've not yet read entirely, so is possible I'll find others in the meanwhile.

Pick Me, Pick Me Not, may have been marketed and explained by Aldo but I think you'll find it is a Peter Duffie effect.

Yes, it is, Colombini tells it's by Duffie at the beginning of explanations, sorry I forgot.

Aldos performance of poor mans monte on his excellent 'a few good cards' DVD convinced me to learn it,and it's become a favourite of mine. I know it belongs to Richard vollmer. Paramount is a fave of Aldo's creations. Learned it years ago and remember how amazed I was seeing it for the first time.

Contact colors (True Magic)

Its a date (Aldo on trost 4 or 5) -- very fun one that uses a date on a borrowed coin--

I also love his rope work. Roped in is great but his work on "Rope Classics" is worth a look as well.

"Easy Going" from the Lasting Impressions DVD Vol.1 is a sneaky Stand-Up Cards To Pocket routine - with a twist. This is a very surprising effect that is fun to watch and fun to do. There is an amusing sucker element to it, but without a sting. There's audience participation (two specs on stage). And there's built-in situational humor. An ideal parlor trick for any type of audience.

Another favorite is "Snappy", Aldo's matrix routine with backfire. I found it on one of Ammar's Easy To Master Coin Miracles DVD's. This is a very magical looking routine and - lucky you! - is also very easy to do.

I wish the Lasting Impression videos had been released on DVD.

I always do one of his, can't think of the name. It's sort of a re-set with black and red cards.
