I just found a trick where the magician asks several
spectators to think of a card, remove their card(s) from a deck, display their cards to nearby spectators while the magician "memorizes" the remaining deck, return their cards to the deck and the magician identifies their cards. I need a name and the originator of the effect. Thanks.
