Hi all.
Just to keep this place alive, I've put a SD video there: http://www.arnoldmcdonald.org/en/code/index.php?p=6000000 As a matter of fact I'm trying to keep the top card a little bit lopsided while dealing. The first run is "demo" style (cards dealt on the table) whereas cards are sailed during the last run. Hope you'll like it. |

Wow that was sensational work there... I have seen your earlier vids but this one was very clear .... one of the best things was during the second run of seconds when the beautiful moving left thumb action added tons of believability and genuineness to the deal...
your fingers are very long ..your thumb comes easily to the right top corner of the deck while the left inner corner is nicely perched at the base of the thumb providing a nice pivot point for the card... I have trouble doing this anyways it means more practice and hard work for me.. not that I m complaining. oh yes do you use your sd with marked cards or peaked cards ? |

Yep, my fingers are very long. It's a chance because my hands are very skinny and despite what magicians say the "windows" I have prevent me for any idea of palming. All can't be wrong !
I use SD mainly for stacking, to fix some cases. Once in a while after a peek also. And seldom with punched cards. Thx for your comment. |

Oh, I see.
As many guys face trouble to save streamed videos I have decided to bring them that way. Just right click on it and "save target" or something like that. Then you'll have it on your computer and you can watch it as many times as you want. |

Hey Fillstuff,
What about your moves on video? PS: I deal seconds for years, I've never been caught so far. Then, nice looking or not, good or not, I don't really care. I mean, if guys like Z, SamCase or Doc would say I should improve this or that, I could take care about it. But from unknown guys always making fun of others, I give less than a beeeeeeeeeeep. |

I said the deals are OK but all those rings are kind of funny.
Do you use all those rings at the table in an actual game ? FILL |

Grab a seat and play at my tables, you'll be able to check it.
By the way, I'm not sure there are rules prohibiting rings around poker tables. |

Where I play you wont enter with all those those rings , people are scared about shiners. that's why I asked if you use it at an actual game.
But now it's clear to me that you play home games with your buddies or some kind of beginners table , it's alright , I started that way too. Have a good day FILL |

Ring shiners! I'm speechless...
The day I'll be asked to remove my rings, well, I'll do it. It's never been the case so far. I'm currently living in UK, I can assure you dozen of people have rings around the card table. Sometimes bigger than mine and much more reflective, trust me on that lol. Shiners are really in use. Once in a while we can meet some jerk-off trying to fool the players with his shining mobile phone. You just can detect'em from planet Mars. Personally I ask for clean tables, I just wanna see nothing on the mat. No glass (there's always one guy who's gonna spill his beer before the end of the game), no weird stuff (no 5 pounds card guards, no 6" tall lucky charms), etc. But what I really like is guys with black specs!!! Holly ...! How many times I have seen their hole cards, lol. The best shiner ever. Let's get back to ring shiners. On many books you can see some. There's a nice one in SF's book Poker Protection. I wear rings for many years, and to be honest I don't clearly see how I could spot a card using such a tool! In my humble opinion, it should be on the little finger and the pack put really high in the hand, not exactly what I'd call a natural position... Plus, in order to sight the card you're dealing, you should shift the card to the rear of the pack. Unnatural again! Hey, I don't say it's impossible and it surely has been done by some hustlers. But I prefer to rely on something more unnoticeable. The day I'll be asked to remove my rings, I'll tell you. I promise. |

Less than one month ago one guy was using his cell phone. Well, he tried...
In the last big town I was living (big for my country) there was a club where guys were trapping players with... a huge mirror on the wall! Amazing uh? was in 2K9, not back in 1950... As usual context is everything. Context means countries, people, places. I don't play in casinos nor 25K bankroll games. I didn't say you see shiners everywhere. But in "friendly" and private games, once in a while, it happens. In such games anyway, all can happen. |

I agree, shiners are running rampant in Go Fish games.
My earlier statement was referring to a level slightly above that. You know, the kind where abaft mirrors and glossy cellphones won't fly. |

Oh, I see. You're a top-notch player-hustler-cheat only playing big games? I'm really happy for you.
I'm afraid I'll keep going with my pub/club/private games anyway. Homey, nice, funny... and easy. |
