My brother in law got us "Beatles-Rock Band" so there's even LESS time for me on the X-box now!

My wife has great in laws, mine sucked. What is that Beatles Rock Band? I saw the box the other day and don't know what it is.

It's a game where they play Beatle music while a series of colored tabs runs down the screen. When the tab reaches the bottom of the screen, you are expected to press the correct button on your guitar and strum the bar where the strings should be (or, if you're playing drums, you just hit the drum with the correct colored ring around it.) You can also try to sing along, but I haven't seen how that works yet.

Ed, when you sing into the mic the software identifies the relative pitch of your voice (compared to the original vocals).

So you have to hit the right buttons etc to make the music sound right? That actually sounds hard.

No, the music doesn't change. You have to hit the right buttons and strum the guitar at the exact moment to get points. The tabs are tied into the music, but if you miss one, there's no penalty in the music itself, you just get less points. (Also, you're meter goes down, if it drops to zero three times, you're kicked off the song. When you strum correctly, the meter goes up hopefully to the top. Keep it up there long enough and you get bonuses.)
