Could you please let me know if you have had any trouble downloading the Switch*a*roo clip on my website. Last night, I tried to check it out, and I could not get to it. I'll likely investigate this evening, if there is a continued difficulty with the download.
The clip is at http://www.magicbuzz.net Please let me know here, or PM me. Your thoughts on the clip, if you've seen it, are welcome also! Thanks a bunch! Russ Niedzwiecki |

Works fine for me too. Looks awesome Russ!!!!
I bought Switch*a*roo a few years back, I'm certainly going to be working on it again after watching Russ do it. Iain. |

Clip works fine. I'm familiar with Swith-a-roo. I've always felt it was a lot of baggage for just switching a card in your pocket. The remote version looks good, but seems a bit impractical. Just my thoughts.

Interesting that you bring this up. If you were to do a search here regarding switcharoo, you would probably notice a lot of bad feedback concerning this device. I mean folks have been downright brutal about it.
Hopefully this video clip will be enlightening to those that have it already and those that don't also. I will try and check out the clip later from work where I have better than a 56k modem internet connection. I have one of these switcharoos as well, it was a gift at a Christmas gift exchange party last year. I admit I wasnt very impressed and never really attempted to use it in any situation. Maybe seeing it in action will help. Thanks for offering a video demo of this, I will give my thoughts after viewing it. I am reserving my DVD money (at the moment) for a copy of Ogawa/Robbins DVD for when I attend their L.A. lecture this Monday. Otherwise I would probably be getting a copy of Pinnacle. That sounds really awesome. Later, GlenD

I like the idea but personally I think it's too THICK. If you could make it thinner I'd be all over it like a fly on stink!

Yes, that's right. It is kind of thick. Good point, it always seemed real bulky in most shirt pockets.

The clip you have there is great!! Nice job.
I will be taking mine out again and rethinking it's usefulness. Perhaps with the right clothing, particularly a jacket like what your'e wearing in the video, would cover the thickness just fine. For those more casually attired, a t-shirt pocket sticking out like 2 decks of cards might be too obvious looking. But anyway, the clip is great and really fun to watch. I am still not sure how your'e doing it, even though I have one of these! Thanks again for the time and effort to put that clip up. GlenD

I have had one for more than a year but have not used it much. At times, close up, the gimmick can be seen. But the way its performed in the video is so magical I will have to reconsider.

Scan a card box and use sticker paper to cover it. Then it will look like you have a card box in your shirt pocket.
If you smoke [ewwwwww] you could use a cigarette pack to cover it. I'm sure there are lots of ideas. Cheers, James Quote: On 2003-06-20 11:36, GlenD wrote:

Sorry, but it is just too bulky. I made my own after I got yours, it's about one third the thickness - much better.

My original prototype gimmick was slimmer as well. I had sold the rights to this trick, and the new owners went another direction in the production process. It was also marketed as an item that you can place in your shirt pocket.
Switch*a*roo was never intended to be placed in a pocket- at least that was never my suggestion. Add the "thickness" you mention to this condition, and you have people who say, "what the heck???". The item is intended for a jacket pocket. I haven't had any problems when using it this way, so even though it may be a little bulky, that is shrouded in the nature of it's placement - jacket pocket. I don't want to steer away those that haven't seen this utility in action, either, besides watching the video clip. You can do a ton of magic with this item. Like many other items - in the right conditions. For some who have corresponded with me, it is a miracle. People love that it has been stored away by others. There are loads of ideas not yet thought of with this item. Can you switch cards other ways? Sure! But, if you spent some time with Switch*a*roo, you'll likely find useful ways to incorporate it into what you do, and discover that there is a uniqueness in its ability that will be VERY pleasing in the results, and switching in ways that you cannot do in the hands/ on the deck, etc.. Both Mike Close and Earl Nelson have incorporated SAR into their own routines. There is absolute merit in the item. And few- very few that I have heard- utilize the remote switch, which is demonstrated in the video clip. There is very little learning involved in this move, and as you can see in the clip, it's visually stark! A card switching face out "always in view". The clip was intended to show you one of the number of ways it can be used. I will be glad to add some of my own experience with the utility in correspondence with those who would like to make the purchase. And if you are already interested in Just Passin Thru and Pinnacle, getting all 3 gives you FREE SHIPPING anywhere. But that won't be for long. And that deal will ONLY be at http://www.magicbuzz.net Ahhhh, the plug.......... Thanks Russ |

I think that Russ may have meant that the gimmick was never intended to be placed in a shirt pocket. He said it's intended for a jacket pocket in the paragraph following the one you quoted from. CW |

Well that was a crummy miss! Kinda messes up the interpretation just a bit, eh? Sorry Marko.
Yes, I meant the utility was not intended to be placed in a shirt pocket, but a suit coat or jacket pocket. Thanks for the backup CW Russ |

Id just like to say I have had this since this morning, I have made the remote and its amazing!
Im trying to think up some great effects with this, or use it to improve old effects. Does anyone have any 'outside the box' uses for this? I mean not switching cards for aces etc, but stuff you wouldnt even imagine....anything... Thanks again Russ, Lewis. |

Looks great! And haven't used this device much since I bought it because I normally perform in a vest, but I love the way it looked in the suit coat!!! I have to add that to the coat with my raven!

Russ,
I'm still don't understand about this effect. Does your "Switch a roo" DIFFERENT than previous "Switch a roo" which sold by another dealer? Is there any modification? Hengky |
