This is written for those who would like to make your magic a full time career.
You should create a tap list of any and all places that your show would be suitable for. Here are just a few ideas of how to get noticed in your local area. 1. Event Planners 2. Event Catering 3. Local Libraries 4. Other Magicians 5. Restaurants 6. Clubs and Organizations (Eagles, Moose, Masonic, VFW,American Cancer Society etc) 7. Fairs and Festivals 8. Daycares 9. Showcases (bridal shows etc) 10. Chamber of Commerce 11. Military Bases 12. Schools 13. Churches 14. Scouts 15. Boys and Girls Clubs 16. YMCA and YWCA 17. Colleges 18. Theatres 19. Resorts 20. Country Clubs and many more Create a tap list of all the above organizations and more, and mail out to them. Be consistant and stick to the same list. Establish credibality and awareness of who you are and what you do. It's always nice to call first to ensure that you are forwarding on your information to the proper person in charge and address. Do this for a few months, and you will see a dramatic increase in the amount of leads that you see. Does anyone have anything to add to the list? I hope you find this information valuable, and if you enjoyed it please feel free to let me know! Sincerely, Charles Watson |

Although creating this list is valuable...nothing is more valuable then shining up the shoes and marketing yourself in person.
