I liked the performance of this illusion. It adds some texture to this effect, and it breaths some new life into the tried and true vanish with DS. I like how the box opens up with a "starburst" type of effect, each door swinging open to a different length. This approach is certainly more lively and more imaginative than a vintage vanish from a raised platform.

On the last WMA Katalin showed similar illusion. I love the idea but I don't get it why you need swords if there is a vanish. A switch or an appearing among the audience would make better the illusion.

The prop doesn't dictate the performance. I'm sure one could appear naked in the parking lot of they wanted to. Wait until you see what I'm going to do with SilverChair this summer once I get mine
I'm assuming the swords are there to break up the performance so that it's not just close doors, open doors, she's gone! Modern Art can be done with the doors open before she slides over, but it's much better to break that moment into two, giving you more than one applause point. It also adds the needed time for people to do what they need to do behind the scenes. (which is probably the primary reason I would think)
