I don't use candles or doves at this stage, but I have seen Rick Thomas do a candle to silk to dove move that looks really good! I was just wondering whether this is a standard move or if it is a Rick Thomas move?
thanks

It's a pretty logical sequence, I think. I'm sure he isn't the first.

Richard,
Is that the Chavez Encyclopedia of Dove Magic you are referencing? Compiled by Marian Chavez herself, also contains the best dove steal in the business by the late great Neil Foster. |

I'd say Richard is referring to Adair's books. I don't think Marian wrote multiple volumes, did she? It may be in her book, though. I'm fairly certain I read the sequence somewhere, and I don't have the Adair volumes. Although, I do have some of his smaller books.

It is the Adair books. There is one version by John Mohering.

In the Chavez book there is a Vanishing Candle to Dove effect that is very good and natural.
Richard is the John Mohering version in his book 'The Texan Trixter' ? |

I don't know. I have to dig it out and look at it again.

I saw him do it about a month ago, not 5 ft. away and it appeared to me to be the one in the Adair. Might also be a version in the Chavez but mine are still packed in boxes in the garage and I can't go look right now.
