Saw this book by Eric Lewis called Martin's Miracles that shows you how to make quite a bit of props, gaffs, tricks or what not. I believe this book is well worth the money becuase buying just a few of the effects from this book could cost you hundreds of dollars. It also has Cardiographic which retails for $100.00. So even if this book cost $100.00 which it isn't it would be money well spent. My question is this, are there any other books like this?

Martins Miracles is a good deal but it is really more like a pamplet---than a book. Mark Wilsons Book--Has a lot of stuff you can build yourself---and the book is only like $17 to $20--It really is a marvelous value-----cheers!---Jimeuax

There is a book that was published by Science and Mechanics magazine in the '60s, entitled "Magic Handbook". It caused a lot of controversy at the time, because it was the first real "exposure" book. There are lots of plans, with dimensions, for many classic tricks and illusions.
It is long out of print, but copies often show up on eBay for $8 to $20. Since there are several publications titled "Magic Handbook", be careful when bidding. This one has a picture of the Dagger Head Chest on the cover. Do NOT bid on the book by Peter Eldin in error. Amos McCormick
Things are more like they are today than they've ever been before...
