Hi everyone!

My name is Andrew. I'm 21 and living in the St. Louis area. I have been involved in magic for several years now. When I was a little kid, around 6 years old, I got a KLUTZ Magic Book. I loved magic then but after a year or two I lost interest. Then, in Jr. High, I started playing Poker with my older brother and his friends during lunch and I slowly found an interest in cards (shuffling and flourishing and sometimes cheating). I never put that together with myself as a 6 year old who had a magic book until late High School. That's when I started taking things to the next level and got into serious card magic. I have been hooked ever since. I still love flourishes and practice those just as much. I have done the occasional dinner service but not for the money, completely for the love. During the warmer times of the year I like to go to Union Station and nail down those tricks and patter that need the experience and trust behind them. Most of my friends who are into magic live 2 hours away (in the town I grew up in or that area). So I feel a little on my own out here sometimes. I have tried some of the magic communities around St. Louis only to find them a little lifeless. I do support them and join them but haven't really made to many good friends from them.

My other hobbies outside of magic include: Biking, Video Games, Reading, Cooking and last but not least Swimming. I swim 2 miles every morning!

Hi Andrew. I know what you mean but a lot of rings clown and magic seem to be fading.
This is because there aren't enough young people picking up the torch. Ya like fire?
I'm not young but I'm not old and it's always been tough to find a Group of people in the same field. I found a lot of social sites and it's almost like being with someone except I can't type.
This is one of the best ones so far.
