I'm new to the Café, though I'm not new to magic. My name is Jason and I've been doing magic since may 2001, I started with Bill Tarr's book "Now You see it, now you don't" and I’ll never forget what the man that gave the book told me before he disappeared. He looked me right in the eye and said....."Here!"
Magic, Illusion or whatever you like to call it has really opened my eyes and changed my mental picture of reality. And although I've meandered for the last 9, almost 10 years I've realized that I have a hobby that enables me to live any place I want to. Now all I have to do is learn how to be interesting.....oh, well ***! I guess it's going to be harder then I thought. never mind! I like magic and I love to perform. I've gotten to the point where I can figure out most tricks before they are revealed, and I’m always seeking new and exciting effects...and personal style. I'm uneasy about how tricks are being revealed on TV and youtube, and on the other hand I'm happy to see the information being documented. I say this only for the fact that so many great effects were taken to the grave during the magic renaissance, and I would love to have been able to study the works of Alexander or any of the Herman’s. A new day is around the corner and I'm sounding lamer then ever so here is where I will bid you a good day. I said good day! |

Welcome Jason, hope you stick around for many years and share your stores and learnings with us all, as you walk threw your magic career.
“Always remember in the Café' we must welcome the future, remembering that soon it will be the past; and we must respect the past, remembering that it was once all that was humanly possible” Rick Anderson.
Grew up near one of the greatest minds in magic the late Stewart James, in a town called Wallaceburg just 15 mins from Courtright where James could be found, time and time again he would inspire me to always be creative and just love all magic.
