I read that Houdini and Goldin had a major bust-up and hated each other but later became friends - anyone any idea how true this is, and if so what the timeframe might have been? Thanks.

What I read this started when both of them were up and coming. Goldin got jealous that there was another magician working with him. Later they became friends.

What do you mean by "working with him"? This would imply that they were on the same bills. Houdini was not Goldin's only competitor. He may not have even been Goldin's MAIN competitor.
