I don't use any of these methods.

Welcome Paul.

Yes, there are many, many ways to make a coin vanish. This includes mechanical methods, slight of hand, and misdirection. The more you explore, the more there seems to be.

Best way to make money vanish and reappear, if you're good.

There are so many ways to make a coin disappear, acting, is also a one.

The absolute best way to vanish a coin is to have nothing in your hand and have the audiance believe you have a coin then vanish it\

These are the methods for vanishing a coin that I have discovered all on my own.

Disclaimer: please do not try to publish these, as I am in the works of getting them all released on my next dvd:

1- Dropping the coin down an elevator shaft before the doors close.
2- Dropping the coin through the gap between the train and the platform (stupid Japanese trains and their 1 foot gaps)
3- Dropping the coin while walking on a bridge and not being able to catch it before it falls into the water down below
4- Dropping the coin while drinking soup, but doing so w/o anyone at the table noticing.

There are many more, and they will work miracles in most situations. Best thing about it, these are the only sleights in which the success rate goes up the worse your palming is.

I would literally drop the coin to the floor and step on it. However, this is hidden by an outstanding patter of screaming out of nowhere and swaying my arms like a gorrilla. Most of the time, they even forget I'm performing a coin trick!

Hmmm...., you got me thinkin' Vinny. I think I'm gonna try that out and see the outcome. I wanna see how far I can go into getting the layman to believe I actually have a coin in hand. LoL.
One for the money...., 2 for a pass..., 3 for a Fly..., and 4 for matrix!

LOL! I'm afraid it pre-dates Mickey by quite a few decades...

I watched Slydini videos on youtube where he uses the principle Vinny speaks of, it blew me away...even though I "knew" what he was doing, my eye kept on getting fooled...kinda like Allen Iverson telling you he's going to do a cross over, and then doing it, and blowing right by you to the hoop.

Try the Ascanio/Tamriz's way. have a coin at the right fingertips and your keys in your right pants pocket. Place the coin in the left for the right to be bale to get your keys out.

Now do the same thing but glance at the pants pocket just before (false) transferring the coin in left hand and take the keys from your pocket (you'll have to drop the coin in your pocket to be able to take the keys (only one move against releasing and taking = 2 moves).

That's what Slydini, without reference to In Transit actions, was teaching... and, as you know it is more deceptive than the best Raven, Topit or ... that focus attention on the vanish. When we focus attention, the coin must be gone already for a while and at least one action must have happened in between (taking the keys out) before focusing attention on the left, causing the magic (like jingling the keys over the left hand) and revealing the effect.

A perfect simulation is desirable, but it's not what makes a "vanish".

Humans make life so interesting. Do you know that in a universe so full of wonders, they have managed to create boredom. Quite astonishing.
