I have created a forum with the aim to annotate Erdnase. I am also sharing a PDF copy of Expert at the card table were every section links directly to the forum.

Anybody interested to collaborate? Any ideas?

The problem with this type of project is that there is no quality control.

Good luck my friend.

Sorry, I agree with Jay. It's for that exact reason that I despise Wikipedia.

A couple of good moderators and some common sense and I am sure that the information can be kept reliable. Any volunteers? Smile

I was about to say that I thought that Darwin had already done something like this. I just wish that I could recall what he titled the resulting book.

Don't tell me: I'll think of it.

The Annotated Erdnase (red dust jacket, and gold embossed title on the hardcover)
Notes and Commentary by Darwin Ortiz
Published by Mike Caveney's Magic Words Copyright 1991 ( I have the 5th printing, darn!)
270 pgs.
Mixed in of illustrations and photos.
And the most oddest thing of all, on the last page (pg. 270) is a scan copy of the death certificate for Milton Franklin Andrews dated November 6 in San Francisco. Cool.

I enjoy comedy as much as you but I like to get constructive and not destructive feedback.

Darwin Ortiz wrote the Annotated Erdnase in 1991, Revelations was published in 1984. Many rain has fallen since then.

This would be a common place to share ideas and I don't understand how the magic community doesn't embrace a project like that.

Maybe because people out there have nothing to say or contribute.

As a devout Wikipedian.....I don't entirely agree. Wikipedia is what it is......it's an encyclopedia built and maintained by users. Over the past couple of years, some concrete QC mechanisms have been put in place there. Wikipedia has become today, what mimes were 30 years ago.....people make fun of it, but they don't even really know why they make fun of it.

Just my 2 cents.
His face isn't really this long in-person!
