I am looking for a good £2 flipper coin that is cut well and for a worker. I have found one on Alakazam and one on The World Magic Shop. Has anybody bought UK flipper coins from either of these shops and what is your experience? Which is the better for gaff coins?
Also, maybe a stupid question but I am new to UK gaff coins... does anyone sell £2 shells? I can not find any. |

I have a £2 flipper from Roy Kueppers that is extremely reliable and has never let me down. The quality is excellent and the workmanship and professionalism from Mr. Kueppers is incomparable. I have not dealt with either of the above shops, but I have also not heard anything negative about them.
Check out http://www.roykueppers.com and give him a call and talk to him, let him know what you would like. He is on holiday until next Monday (18 of 07 of 2011) or so, but you can leave a message. I hope this information is useful to you. |

I have had £2/2p version of coin unique from alakazam and lets say that the quality was awful and this was supposed to be there "pro coin "..Also there flippers are not so good either.Maybe we should send coins to lassen or schoolcraft if we want quality.

Quote: I am not sure about the £2/50p version as this would have been my next purchase but if it is anything like my £2/2p version then I would stay away..The coin insert was very loose and you could shake the coin out without any pressure (not like the old eddie gibson coins 2p/10p £1/1p versions).
On 2011-07-16 13:07, mysterious_guy wrote: No way would you have been able to place the £2/2p alakazam version in a specs hand because as soon as you moved the coin it talked very loud..I am searching for gaffs in UK currency again but I am put off with the extreme poor quality that some are using.Wish Eddie would come back and start with £2 versions..He knows how to make our coins. Will not touch alakazam's at all now ..Not sure how they can call them there "pro coins" because they are no better than the cheap coins on ebay ..So save your money unless you are very lucky to get a nice fitting one. Have seen Mr Tango's at blackpool and they were better quality for the price but I do not own any of his but might give them a go because his customer service is really good. Hope that helps a little..i am wanting all uk gaffs now ..Mr Tango question for you ?? Why can we not find uk coins on your site or am I missing it with my tired eyes lol.. Best Shaun p.s you can get the coin unique still by eddie gibson the £1/1p version also anyone wanting UK flippers make sure they have a real edge like the big boys do when you buy from them.

I have the Tango £2 gravity flipper and it's pretty good. Does the job, has edging on the insert and is a reasonable price.

Well I'm really glad I didn't go ahead and buy the £2/50p coin unique from Alakazam. It's a shame its such poor quality as I'd really like this combination. The only other shop I see selling a £2/2p coin unique are JBTV, however I read a review on another forum and they said it wasn't so good. I'm unsure what to do now, as I did want a £2 version because of the size.
I'll also take a look at the Tango Pro Gravity Flipper, thanks for the recommendation. It would also be a bonus as I hear all their coins now come with the Tangopedia DVD. I'm also on the lookout for a good £2 expanded shell, have you any recommendations? I'd like to get one from Tango having seen the reviews for their products in this forum, however on some of the main magic websites they seem to have a lot of the US/Canadian/Euro coins, but none from the UK (apart from T.U.C). I also don't see any on Tango's own site - am I missing something? |

Would just like to update this thread on UK coin gaffs.I have just purchased and received the £2/2p coin unique from http://www.cards4magic.co.uk/acatalog/Fa......ins.html
I also got a 50p folding coin for coin in bottle. Now I did say in my above post about sending my coin set back to alakazam because of the looseness of the coins .Well I have got to say that the £2/2p version from the card collection is perfect .There is no looseness of the coins what so ever and would easily place this in a spectator's hand. Now I noticed that alakazam and the card collection are pretty close to each other if you look at there address. Now I am not sure if they both use the same supplier for coins but I am well happy with what I have received from the card collection.I was not going to bother getting anymore coin unique type effects but I thought I'd try just one more time and I am glad I did. Just thought I'd share my honest opinion of the coins I got.

It'd be worth checking out what Bob Swadling has to offer.

Why not try Keith Bennett in Birmingham?
Keith focusses now purely upon coin magic and a lot of his products are produced by Tango. Here's a link to his UK coin list (hope it proves useful): http://kbmagic.com/ukcointricks.html
