I understand that there is a general "inner thoughts" forum for those with more than 50 posts, but I was wondering if it would be possible to have effect-specific forums, where to gain admittance you would have to prove you knew the method? I ask because I just bought Marc Paul's "True Lies," and saw someone referring to more in-depth discussions in the Inner Thoughts forum. I do not have 50 posts (and probably won't for quite a while, as I am much more of a lurker than a poster, especially when I do not have much worthwhile to contribute), but would still like to read/discuss this effect with others that have it. In addition, even when one has 50+ posts, should they really have access to "secret" forums regarding effects they do not own?
Of course, my perception of what Inner Thoughts contains may be totally off, so if that is the case, apologies. |

I can just see the Magic Café forums list, which is already huge, exploding beyond all control or reason if this suggestion is followed.
Would you really want an entire forum created for every trick that is out there in the magic world? Next would be a forum for every book or DVD ever created. Personally, I don't think there would be much demand for a forum setup such as you suggest. It would open a whole can of worms that NOBODY would really want slithering around!

ReverendDave: While I certainly welcome ideas and suggestions from our members, what you are asking would not be practical - at least not on a forum of this size and scale.
