What a great thread! I have spent way too much time watching all the clips. Great job Andrew!
I didn't see this one in there and thought it may be of interest to others. Enjoy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TgtgOs_OkTU

One of my favorites has got to be Payne's. I count myself lucky that I live near the Camlann Faire, so I get to see Payne perform a couple of times a year. If anyone has the good fortune to visit this Faire, make sure you check out the sheep-shearing demonstration.

I first saw Shawn Farquhar do his unusual routine at a lecture in Houston a couple of years ago. I was baffled and mystified by it. I saw it again a few days ago at the WMS. I was still baffled and mystified.
The good news is that Shawn will be releasing it very soon. The bad news is that it won't be cheap. However, it will be worth the price, because it will have all the cups you need to do the routine.

I have enjoyed nearly all of the routines that Andrew has given us access to.
I must say that my favourites were Master Payne's routine and Bebel's routine. I liked them for different reasons but both of them entertained me enormously. Thanks to the performers and to Andrew for these wonderful routines.

I enjoyed this thread so much. Have not been around in the threads for a while but my passion is just as strong if not stronger. I would like to shamelessly share some of my routines. Just to add to the list. By no means at par with the greats above, but at par as far as fun is concerned.... at least from the performers standpoint. I have posted this in the past but thought some might be interested. For our new friends and for the old friends who may have forgotten.
My all time fave routine (The Mendoza Combo routine with my little touches) Thank you John Mendoza! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9gdnN08JY5I&feature=related Young Ronstoppable bags 3rd place doing the same routine above http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RFB31Add3R8 Scavenger Cups http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xp97JPw0ecU The Three Little Pigs http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1qNNJiLiGhE&feature=related Cheers and Mabuhay from SUNNY Manila! I think someone needs to do this again, giving a different classic of magic for each moth of the year.

Yes! That scavenger routine is great, esp. the final, final load!
(Watching the routine, I was thinking "Man, that smallest cup could fit under one of the other cups...." Great thinking in finding a way to use that!) I'm glad you bumped this thread, Pete. I would've missed it otherwise.

My absolute favourite is E.G. Brown's routine (ref. Abracadabra, vol. 24, 419-424). The sleights are a bit more challenging than usual because the routine really does use only three balls. It's just a brilliantly conceived routine from a true genius who unfortunately is not as well known as he should be, perhaps because he wrote virtually nothing (he died in 1947). As a measure of just how good he was, however, Dai Vernon wrote that when he visited London to give his very first lecture "Cardini told me that Edward Victor was the best sleight-of-hand performer. However, John Ramsay stated quite emphatically that Edward Brown was superior" (Genie, vol. 47, 841). High praise indeed! Believe me, Brown's cups and balls routine is a work of genius.

Smero,
No problem. I'm glad if anything there was helpful. I don't know if anybody here will be interested, but coming up in the next couple of months I'm going to be doing something similar with cards. Maybe a "Top 25 Card Plots" or something like that (obviously it'd be in the Workers section). I'll need some time to plan, though, and I'm still sort of recovering from last year's 365 day blogging project, so I want to make sure I'm ready for it. But, if anybody else wants to give a follow-up Cups and Balls month here with new videos, I say go for it.
