Kozmo has been taking it to the streets for years and has just topped off his career by being my guest on the most recent episode of "The Spirit of Magic." (Not to mention that he was featured on the cover of Magic Magazine this month.) Enjoy!

Great job Dodd. A really good interview.
Magic is an art. I am merely a tour guide.

Dear Dodd,
I've been listening to your podcasts for about a year now and feel the interview with Kozmo is the best of them all; maybe the single best magic interview I've heard, ever. Your questions gave Kozmo the opportunity to share relevant, genuine and insightful content. His reflections on what magic is (and isn't) were so refreshing to hear and I was especially touched by his honest and heartfelt admiration for other performers, both well known and unknown. His quote about people generally not liking magic "otherwise it would be on TV every night" is so true, yet he went on to explain how we can all learn to use magic as a vehicle or tool to give people what they really do like - entertainment. His thoughts about effects like "Ambitious Card" and "Sam the Bellhop" not really being magic, certainly made me pause, reflect and look at things through a new lense. In short, I loved it and am now a total Kozmo fan. Thanks for having him on your podcast! Great job. Rick |
