Ok, I'm going to chime in with more of the same. I'm not going to add anything new but rather echo what so many have said already. I do hundreds of shows every year and use my amp for most of them (so I put mine through the ringer).
I like Brian's amp for the following reasons: 1. Brian - he's a great guy who provides great customer service 2. The amp really puts out sound. I have been using it at my lectures and so many people ask me about it. They cannot believe something that small puts out sound that well. 3. I like the new black design. It looks better and is less conspicuous. 4. The price. Not too expensive. 5. The quality for the price. I wonder if one could find a better amp for the price. Things I don't like about the amp: 1. The way "happie" is spelled. I try to explain it to people and they look at me like I just flunked Sesame Street. 2. The fact that it doesn't come in flourescent beige (my favorite color) 3. It is not a swiss army amp. There's no can opener. Other than that, I really like it. Great stuff, B. |

Just curious Bernie -- are you charging the PA with DC current from the cigarette lighter, and if so, what sort of patch cord or connection are you using? Anything to regulate the voltage and amperage? SETH

I bought a 75w cigarette lighter adapter and just plug in the power chord it came with.So far so good it is only plugged in for maybe 30-45 min depends on the drive. It is enough to keep it from going dead on a long day of shows

I bought My amp, had a few issues and Brian took care of things with lightning fast speed. I LOVE my Happie Amp!
I have a few Ipod remotes that are same model that I have seen selling for $100 and up. I am willing to part with them for much less than that. PM if you are interested

Saw the ad in Genii and thought what everyone probably thinks..."great price but I bet it is super cheap with poor sound quality." So I was surprised to see the great reviews on the Café. Based on these reviews, I took the plunge. I have used a great Appollo amp for years but am finally getting sick of lugging it around given that it weighs 30+ pounds.
Shipping, despite the holiday weekend was super fast. Got it yesterday and used it for two shows today. I was really impressed with the package. Great carrying case and I was impressed with all the features for such a great price. It's so light, I couldn't believe the sound quality. Loud and clear sound with no feedback. It performed perfectly for my two shows today. My only real complaint is that I wish the power cord was twice as long. While I still need to play with it more, if it continues to perform as it did today, this will be the best purchase I've made in the last several years. |

Why do you need a power cord? That is only for recharging the unit.

Any unbiased reports on the bigger unit that is advertised with the Happie amp. This looks promising.

I was told to only use the battery when needed, that it should be used plugged in as much as possible.

I've got the bigger amp as well as the smaller Happie amp! I have yet to use it however and have been using the smaller one for all my shows. It is great!

Does anyone know how the Happie Amp compares to the Anchor Minivox? That is what I am currently using but was thinking of getting the Happy Amp (the smaller one).
Thanks, Andy |

Two questions...
For users of Happy Amp 1.0, and have made the move to 2.0, have you found a significant difference? I have two Happy Amp 1.0s, and am considering the change. But don't know if the benefit out ways the cash. Second, for a head-set... anyone found a good option to get a smaller mic on the headset? Thanks! RevJohn |

RevJohn:
I use a Nady Hm-20 headset ($40-$50) with the Happie wireless belt pack and it sounds decent. Just be sure to get the version with the 3.5mm connector, not the mini xlr. http://www.amazon.com/Nady-HM-20U-Headse......01OSUYA8 http://www.amazon.com/Nady-Condenser-Mic......sr=1-111 regards, Devlin. |

Devlin,
You say the Nady Hm-20 headset sounds decent. Does it sound just as good as the original that comes with the Happie? Thanks. andrew |

How good are the microphones that come with the Happie Amp. I do mentalism usually for audiences of up to 200 and am considering a hand held with a device to attach the mic around my neck. I've used lavaliers before but was dissapointed by the sound. Hopefully a handheld around the neck will be better. Thanks.
