Sometimes I can't figure out why certain topics are locked. Would it be possible for the manager to drop just a few words to explain his point of view? It could help us to better understand the philosophy of the forum and avoiding mistakes in the future.

When you see a topic that is locked, it does not necessarily imply any wrong doing. In almost all cases, the topic is locked when it has (in the opinion of the staff) run its course, or has been answered. In either case, we lock the topic.
