Can't make it again this year. I have track meets to work.

So once again I will miss the great Louie.

I am registered Track and Field official. I am doing Indoor College meets right now. But in the spring, I am state qualifying meet referee the same weekend as the Collector's Weekend. I have been an official for over 30 years.

its #MCA2010 since MCA won't work and MagicCollectorsAssociation

The convention is now 75% sold out, and good news just keeps on coming.

In addition to performing on Friday night, Jason England will also be speaking about some gambling-related items from his collection. Daniel Zuckerbrot (who has made films about Dai Vernon, Stewart James, Martin Garnder, Jeff McBride and others) will also be doing a presentation.

There will also be presentations on Professor Hellis and the Sphinx (the illusion not the magazine).

Finally, Walter Blaney will be discussing (and performing!) his famous ladder levitation. Since Walter is now retired, this could be the last chance to see this illusion performed by the inventor.

All that and more at http://magicol.wordpress.com/

Quick Update:
The hotel is getting quite full, so you'll need to book soon.

Also, we've added another option to the Friday night programming. A local show "Supernatural Chicago" is offering convention attendees discounted tickets. For $20 (normally $25) registrants can see a "the longest running theatrical magic show in Chicago history.

In total that makes 5 options for Friday Night: Supernatural Chicago, Jay Marshall Auction Preview, Jason England's performance, magic in the bar and visiting Downtown Chicago.

Get your registrations in soon, and more importantly, get your hotel room booked TODAY!

We're down to the last two days to get the group rate for the hotel. You can book online here.

We've also posted some more about the scheduled presenters. Speakers include Gary Hunt, Deigo Domingo, Jim Maloney, Robert Olson, Jim Alfredson, David Charvet and Eduardo Sanchez. Find out what they will be speaking about at the MCA Blog

Plus previously announced speakers: Joe Culpepper, Will Houstoun, Walter Blaney, Jason England, Daniel Zuckerbrot, Sandy Marshall and guests of honour George Daily and Mike Caveney.

See you in Chicago!

We've also announced a once only screening of McComb Uncorked: The 31 Faces Interview on Friday evening at 8:00 pm.

This never before seen footage was shot at the 31 Faces North magic conference in Toronto and features Max Maven interviewing the legendary Billy McComb in 2005, shortly before he passed away. This is truly unique footage, and definitely not your average magic interview.

See you in Chicago.
