I did some searching and didn't really find a thread just on this guy alone.
http://www.roykueppers.com/ I made and order through him and I am so thrilled. Not to compare to other gaffers, but Roy is super nice and helpful. He took the time to answer my questions and concerns. I highly recommend him. What do you guys think? How many of you have purchased from him? Do you like his custom work? He seems less known than some of the other gaffers, but I don't know why. He's just been incredible to me. |

Pretty new to all this stuff, but Roy Kueppers did Blackout! for Brian Platt (plattmagic.com) and it is a product I have been very happy with.

Yeah! Roy will pretty much make anything you can imagine. He's known for making custom gaffs. Not just "normal custom gaffs" but stuff people think up and want made. Jay Sankey does most of his work with Roy also.

I did place an order for a steel core walking liberty half recently. The next day I was contacted by him that it was shipped. Will let you know what I think when it arrives. I do believe I have a flipper made by him, that I am very happy with.
RevJohn Posted: Feb 24, 2010 4:10pm Speaking of Roy... I have the Mojo Boogie Boxes as well, and realized that I have misplaced that routine as well. Moving! Arghh. John |

I purchased a flipper of roys. The rubber band was old and dryrotted. I couldn't find the bands on his site, so I called them. Roy said to send it to him he replaced it and changed the way the extra piece is attached. Very happy with the work and service. Roy doesn't make gravity flippers he says all flippers should act like a gravity. Ive never used a gravity but I am happy with the flipper I got from roy

Hey Loren,
I am looking forward to seeing your new gaffs. I'm not familiar with his work, but he has been a guest on the last two issues of "Reel Magic Magazine". His interviews in "Reel Magic" have concentrated on the care of coin gaffs. Good stuff, and he looks like a really nice guy. For the rest of you guys, I got to see Loren's coins before he sent them to Roy. These things are STRIKING! Sammy

Got a Peace dollar shell of his, and it's outstanding.
The current economic crisis is due to all the coins I've vanished.

Well, I TRIED to contact him several years ago regarding various Canadian coin gaffs, but he never replied to my email. Things change, I guess. I do have a toonie shell of his and it's OK, although I've seen other gaffs of his that are rough around the edges, so to speak. Sounds like he's on a roll now, though.
