Sure thing, happy to help.
This is a 10" yellow cube, I keep having the rat and cage placed into box, -lots of funny stuff. finally rat turns into bunny. After the show, many adults say they understand were the rat could have gone, but what did you do with that cage. (very strong magic) Also, built very well, I have a backup and never used it in three years. The best part is that after the show you can still use the full box (less 3") for easy storage.
P.s. rats love holding the treats given to them by the kids. But, it is nice to keep a small spay from bath and body (I use pineapple to spray the balloon flowers). In actuality, I am keeping his tricks smelling fresh.
If you thought kids like pictures with a bunny, take that x100 + the adults love it just as much.
Hope this helps,
Jeff Jones

I just received the Alive effect from Bobby Motta and I bought 2 rats. I use one of the rats for the effect and the second is her travel buddy.

Rats are great animals and they are very nice. I had my first rat as teenager, so I've a little experience with this smart animals. The kids love them also.

I will look around for some effects for my rats and I will use them in my shows.

Hi Lavey, I'm glad to see you are doing Alive. It is a fun routine to perform and gets amazing reactions. I've been using Rats in my act for years and they are amazing pets and great to work with as well.

If you would like to see a clip of Alive with my Rat in action go to my site and check out Alive.

I tried using rats before. I just do not like the mess they make. So I gave up using rats.

I would love to hear more about your experience with rats and magic.

Can you tell me a little about what kind of tricks you do with the rats exsepts from "Vanishing & Appearing Dove Cage in a Cube"

I love your work. Also your backdrops.

I think the caution that some people will just react badly to rats is a valid concern.

For *most* people however I think that can be overcome with behavior. If the rat does something cute and smart, I think that will get a lot of people past their preconceptions.

But its true, not everybody. I would certainly talk to any client before bringing it into their home. If they were nervous I might offer to letthem "meet the rat" and then decide.

OR you could use the Faulty Towers solution and just call it a "rare patagonian hampster" Smile
It is always darkest just before you are eaten by a grue.
