Aloha,
After months of toiling and late night redesigns with Brad, the Ellusionist Invisible Deck App is finally available at the App Store. Taking everything into consideration about the power and timelessness of the invisible deck effect, we weren't going to stop unless we achieved the same level (or better) of impact and practicality that Joe Berg, Eddie Fields and Greorge Martz put into the original classic effect. Many magi call the invisible deck the "best card trick in the world". We couldn't think of a better place to start with a magic app. Now all we had to do is make the best magic app in the world. That's where the twilight hours and endless skype calls came in. One of the challenges we faced (as all magic app developers face) is "Why an app?" Why bring a techno-device into the fold when it has no real reason to be there? Wouldn't this be better with a deck of cards? So we continued to overcome those questions until we had a working method that happened from START to FINISH in the spectators hands. THAT'S one thing you could never do with the original. Now you have a reason NOT to carry a trick deck with you. This has all the power of the invisible deck, ready to go on your iPhone or iTouch. In the end, we're extremely proud to bring this to the magic community. It's a feature-rich app that has been tested tirelessly on the streets of Austin TX. The charge of the effect and reactions have been everything we hoped for. We're open for questions and will gladly help anyone get informed on the product. We know you will get the same buzz we got on your first performance. Share your experiences with it, get yourself on video performing it. Send it over because we want to hear all about it. - Jason

Hi Jason,
I just downloaded the App. I like the look of the app, but to be honest, I currently use Tenyo's Magic Shuffle the same way that you described. It's in the hands of the spectator The method is more direct and simple Tenyo's uses less contact with the iPhone And it costs less . . . sorry about the brutal honesty, Greg Rostami |

No worries at all Greg. I always appreciate honesty. I'm an iForce fan myslef and I apreciate your experince on the subject.
Frankly, I had completely overlooked Tenyo's app. I'm downloading it now and giving it a run.... Thanks again!

I appreciate you pointing it out. The Tenyo effect looks nice and certainly works for the purpose. Seems like it came out in December a few of months ago.
We've pushed about 8 months of work into ours and obviously went a different way with the graphics and engineering. Looks like the main difference between the two is that people can choose the style of playing cards they want to use with ours. As well, the selection of graphic themes and backgrounds are very different - darker and a little "gritty" with ours. I also like the way our cards are engineered to slide off in any direction or speed. We works a ton on the physics to make it as organic as possible. Great minds, huh? No problem with being "brutally honest", it's always the right way.

It certainly is brilliantly structured to appeal to what would be considered the Ellusionist fan base. You guys are tops at that. Great execution.

I like the thought that went into this app. I especially like the practice section. I like the backgrounds and such too. One thing I don't like is the fact that the cards are in order. I know it makes sense with the included trick of taking a card out, and putting it back into the deck anywhere, but I don't use the included patter. I like how in the actual invisible deck it is more like an ordinary deck being all mixed. That said I like the graphics. I like the physics. Like the set up. But I still am leading towards iForce as my favorite. This is even labeled a magic trick. Why would you have a deck of cards you can't do anything but this trick with. It's a great app and I surely will use it a ton. But I'm hoping for updates.

Hey there MAO,
The cards are only in order on the practice mode. They shoud be in random order on the trick mode. Thanks for the great feedback.

Haha. My bad. I've only been messing around a few hours and only been working in practice mode. And when I have been showing people, they have the deck so I don't really notice the order.

The look of this in the demo was amazing. I only wish I had an Iphone. Everything about it makes me want to upgrade right now.

Any ETA on a port to Android? The Hero is hungry for a real app of this caliber. -JS

It's a good product, Jason. I can't believe that the last two products I bought were from you guys The other one was Ponta's DVD.
Anyway, it is a cool app with a clever way of preprogramming the selected card. Excellent design as well! With proper practice, in which the application caters to, nobody would notice anything. Also with the magic of "time delay" they wouldn't even noticed anything. |

Does it work full screen on the iPad or only in 2X mode?

Here's a thought - if you used this, Solano's Q and David Stone's Cell, you could "prove" that the app wasn't some programming gimmick by taking the back off the phone at the end and producing their folded card. You'd have plenty of time to get in position while the spec was flipping cards on the iPhone screen.
