I love Pavlovs Puppets. I own three of them now. Used to have 5 of them.

About 12 months ago they raised their prices by $50 per puppet and then this week they went up again by another $50 per puppet so now you are easily paying $500 for one of their animal puppets.

Just curious if anyone was aware of the reason behind the price increases. $500-$650 per puppet is pretty much pricing me out of their market.

They are now based in France, so perhaps their cost of living has increased.

Pavlov's make wonderful puppets. I'm still using the first duck I ever purchased from them back in 2007. (I also have two back-ups of that duck, along with two or three other Pavlov characters.) Even at the new prices, if I divided the cost over the number of shows I've used the puppet in, we're talking less than the cost of a mouth coil per show.

Doing vent while pulling out a mouth coil, Tom? Now, that beats Tape Over Mouth any day!

Pavlov's are among the best professional soft figures available. Go to the ventriloquist convention and see some of the prices.

You want professional quality, you pay a professional price.

I also agree with Tom that they may have more expenses.

I was trying to think of a cheap disposable Bob, but now that you mention it, great idea. I claim co-authorship and think we should sell it through Lee Cornell!
