Hey everyone

Just applied a strip of mouse tape to my Perfect Power 3 coin set and it works great! Just a few minutes, a bit of patience, and my trusty exacto knife. Personally I like the way it operates with the mouse tape better than with the original teflon that came with it.

Did you remove the teflon or did you put the mouse tape on top?

Thanks for the feedback and comments everyone!

I peeled of the existing Teflon, easy as it was peeling off anyways from over-use. Cut out a circle of mouse tape a few millimeters larger than the half dollar. Stuck it on, turned it Teflon side down and tails side up. Used my exacto knife to trim off the excess.

Hello all.

I don’t have any of Johnny Wong's coin sets but I do have a question or two. Without getting into any secret features or other exposing comments, the routines with PP3 I have seen on YouTube seem to indicate that one can perform some effects that are similar to those performs with either Jamie Schoolcraft's 3CM and Todd Lassen's Triple Threat. True? Or do I have the wrong idea entirely?

BTW I don’t have either of those gaff sets either, referring to 3CM/TT. Just looks like similar things can be done with those and PP3. I do have a few TUCs but haven't been able to perform similar effects quite as smoothly.

As I said if this can't be answered without getting too explicit that's fine!

Thanks!

Jim

PS - Your video looked really good, Dane! Very smooth especially considering you posted that you just received the PP3 set about 2 weeks before posting the video. Smile

Is that set similar to Tango Ultimate Coin (TUC) or is it different the way that it work?
I'm wondering which of those sets are I generally better!
Can those two combine?

Almazer,
They are two totally differnet gaffs. They do not work the same.
I'm not a big fan of the PP3. I love the TUC.
I have both.

These sets are pretty cool. Not sure what they cost but probably than Scotch & Soda I'd say. Some of it looks like my "Grandpa's Coins 2" stuff except I forgot to add a trick coin or two to it. Smile -Go figure! Smile

Thanks for your answer feher!
So your vote goes for Tango Ultimate Coin (TUC),that's what I'm thinking too.
Do you think buying both could be a good investment?
My point is to use them in quite different and not similar tricks!
I need your opinion!

I've seen an awesome 3 fly style routine done with PP3. As has been stated, though, research and then get what you need.
My ex-cat was named "Muffin". "Vomit" would be a better name for her. AKA "The Evil Ball of Fur".

Agreed...

Figure out what you want to do first. PP3 is great for the things done in its demo video as well as my youtube video. From what I hear, the TUC is great for everything else. Also, while they do not seem to be speaking up, I've heard from a few here on the Café who have both but prefer the PP3 over the TUC.

Thank you very much guys for your advices/recommendations.
It's really hard decision but I would take in mind your advices feher, really useful and understandable though!
IMHO someone which is serious in gaff coins should have both into his arsenal and depending on what he is going to perform use either the T.U.C or the PP3 according the situation.
The possibilities are endless and limit to everyone imagination.
Again feher a great thanks for your time!

Needs a bit more work but here's my primary routine with the PP3 set. I've performed it once and the audience was quite amazed.

I definitely need to slow down a bit on some parts, thinking about switching out certain movements and displays. Please lend me any constructive feedback.

Thanks guys!

Looks really good Dane. You used that TKO for that last vanish didn't you? I actually bought Johnny's Coin Bomber set and I was wondering, do you know if the Coin Bomber can do most if not all of the stuff that his other gaffed coin sets can do? It certainly sounds feasible considering how much it costs ($300 on Penguin and $400 everywhere else) and it says on the description that it's capable of doing at least 50 effects and 10 effects are described on the DVD so what are your views on it? Hope to hear from you soon.

Sincerely,

Matthew

Hey everyone

Lost my PP3 during a gig at a casino =(
To be honest I'm over it though as spectators are still loving my ONE coin routine!
Anyways, I've been paid enough to spare a replacement purchase. Has anyone tried my routine with the STC or would anyone care to and let me know how it goes? Thanks!

The demo by Mr. Wong shows a lot of odd hand movements which are very distracting and makes it look like soemthing fishy is going on. Does anyone feel the same way? I am hesitant in getting this set because of the demo and hand movements.

Thank you.

Sooo I finally got my STC and I like it a lot! Everything I could do with the PP3 (My routine, 3 Fly, Matrix) is slightly easier with the STC. The only drawback I can find is that the STC is about a third thicker than the PP3. Also there were some issues with separating the two final coins which were easily remedied with mouse tape or removing one of the linings. So much fun. I know many of you had questions about both so feel free to ask me on this thread. Also, any of you who own a TUC could you please compare as to whether you like either? A TUC may be my next investment if there are things that a TUC can do that a STC can not.

Thanks everyone!

I'm wondering how are PP3 and Dream Coin Set compared to STC? I have PP3 and Dream Coin set, I was abit dissapointed when I got them because I was hoping that they were two complete different gaffs. They are same gaffs with slight modification. Not much al all.

Thanks

If you buy a TUC make sure that the m***** is round and not square. I had problems with my Dollar size TUC while trying splitting the coins.
