Hi! A few years ago I looked at some bubble wrap and I had a crazy idea what if I could cause a quarter to pass through bubble wrap? I tried every possibility and I finally gave up. But recently I read something in the magic Café that made me remember this and I had another idea "maybe there is a more experienced magician that can come up with a method" so how can I get the quarter to pass through the bubble wrap.

Any of the "knife though coat" methods would work, methinks. Have two people stretch a sheet of bubble wrap to make a flat surface and cover the center with a hank or piece of paper. PM me if that doesn't make any sense. Actaully, using a penknife might be more impressive than a quarter.

Yeah, and you could have someone step on a small piece of bubble wrap just as you push the knife through, to make a nice popping sound.

What about using a smaller coin and having it end up INSIDE one of the bubbles of the bubble wrap? You could bring out a shiny odd coin wrapped in the bubble wrap, saying that it's a very special rare coin and you have to keep it safe (explanation for having the bubble wrap) then say you are going to make it pass through the bubble wrap only to have it get stuck have way through, inside out of the bubbles! It would be really great to let the spectator pop the bubble to get the coin out, but I'm not sure what the methods might be... something to think about and work on.
