This is an Super DVD Set.

If anyone is thinking about Street Magic and/or performing magic at Festivals, etc., then this is the DVD Set to own. It will get you on track as to the "Do's and Don't's" of performing for these venues and the like.

Here's a quick run-down and my thoughts:

*** DVD #1:

This is the best part... The Theory of Street Magic.

Here, Danny Hustle interviews Kozmo on his evolutionary thoughts and magical ideas from the past 20+ years experience of Street Magic. You really get some simple, but effective ideas like bringing people into your area and making your audience from zero (0) to 50 in a matter of minutes. Then repeating this and doing 4-5 shows in 1 hour. Keep in mind Kozmo was doing this before producing DVD's and this was his only source of revenue... The more people in your audience, the more tips you get. The only source of a salary would be in the form of these tips. Is it enough??? Well, you tell me if bringing home $600.00+ per day is suffice???

Kozmo explains all his "tricks of the trade". How kind he is now? He teaches the theory of bringing people to your "stage", effectively asking for tips, what tricks are best utilized and MOST IMPORTANTLY why this all works. This is (in my opinion) worth more than just learning the Magical Effects (on Disk #2). Tricks-- You can always learn and practice, but the theory of why certain things WILL work is the most vital thing of this DVD Set.

If you are familiar with Darwin Ortiz's books, STRONG MAGIC and DESIGNING MIRACLES, you will most likely agree with me that Kozmo's TALES OF THE STREETS DVD Set can be analogous to them. That is, the 2 Ortiz's books mentioned don't really teach effects (Kozmo's DVD's do however). Instead, they teach the theory on how to be a GOOD Magician... And if you are a magician, then it will teach the theory to be a BETTER Magician. Kozmo teaches this specifically for the Street/Festival Magician. There is some great, subtle things one would not think about that Kozmo goes over in this DVD set of his... You'd be surprized to know what these items are.

*** DVD #2:

Here is where the Magic Effects are performed thoroughly and explained.

1. "The One Coin Routine"
- Coin under the Shoe / on the Shoulder / in the Eye routine
- This is Kozmo's Routine to "lure" in his spectators... Quite Brilliant!!!

2. "The Coins Across"
- 4 coins from 1 side of the table move magically to the other side.

3. "Coins to Cup Routine"
- Coins travel from the table to a cup.

4. "The World's Greatest Card Trick"
- Transposition of a signed card from a spectator standing on it to a heavily watched folded card in a cup.

5. "Johnny Carson's Favorite Trick"
- Sponge Ball Routine with a finale of 15-20 Sponge Balls appearing in the hand.
- Chop Cup Routine involving the appearrance of 3 Lemons from the cup and a full-sized Cantaloupe from his hat.
- Bill to Lemon routine

Also taught on DVD #2 is how to make a table, design your Savant/"Bag of tricks", loading the Savant properly for each performance and how to carry all of these props in a nice compact fashion.

The tricks are thoroughly explained. He illustrates how to get spectators involved and on stage to help. Yes-- These tricks may not be groundbreaking, however, Kozmo goes through each, again not just the mechanics of his handling, but more importantly-- WHY these effects are the most effective for him (and will be for you). He has been doing the same routine for over 20+ years with a Great Revenue!!! Why fix something that is NOT broken????

Overall, this is a superb breath of knowledge for either the BEGINNING Street Magician, the ALREADY-WORKING Street Magician or just the "RUN OF THE MILL" Magician. There is something for every magician in this as it is a tool to help you decide what effects to put in a routine and why.

Drawbacks?? Not much, only that he could expand a bit on what to do with any hecklers for Starting Street Magician. This is minor, because there are other sources you can get this from... It doesn't need to be from a "Street Magician's" point-of-view.

My recommendation is simply... BUY IT!!! The Theory/Interview is the Best Part. The many Magical Effects are simply the icing on the cake.
.
You know how to make God laugh?........... Tell him your plans!!!

I was repeatedly nailed at one of his lectures here in virginia beach...or norfolk, cant remember which. The coin in the eye routine made me wanna cry. I was watching so close it wasn't funny. Twice it ended up in his eye. WTF! Then I was shown the worlds fastest pass, over and over and over.. I kicked myself when everyone let me in on it haha. THis guy is awesome, The worlds greatest card routine is a very great interactive routine. Can have lots of fun with it. Great set of dvd's.
