I would advise this book that is filled with 11 card magic gems that I would highly advise to anyone (especially those interested in gambling magic tricks and gambling demonstrations). Although a few of the tricks require some set-up that may take time before hand they are ingenious effects and Caleb has wrote the book in such a way it is so easy to learn. For example, before each trick is taught, Caleb gives a list of sleights needed and who created them as well as teaching them indepth during each trick. There is a large selection of fantastic sleights to learn from here which you can add to your arsenal of sleights. Caleb also has little tips and tricks at the end of each trick in which he gives possible variations and aslo references to some of the magicians who created the sleights. You may think you are only paying for 11 (might I say AMAZING effects) you are infact paying for a whole lot more that will bring your card magic up 1000 notches and all hands up to Caleb for this fantastic book and the way he has made it wasy to learn and taught in depth (I have read through the book multiple times merely to absorb the load of knowledge that Caleb has crammed into this book, and his no bull s*** way of writing gives for a thorougly enjoable read)
Check it out sometime. You won't regret it!

I got to see Caleb performing tricks from the book at the Abbott's Close Up Convention this weekend. This is an excellent book! Very commercial and clever stuff. I highly recommend it. I think Caleb sells it on his site at http://www.calebwiles.com. Check it out.

I would have loved to see him perform sometime as I think that his tricks, especially those in this book, are real workers and surprisers that are perfect for not only leyman but also for magicians. I look forward to more of Calebs items in future.

I picked this up last year at MAGIC Live, where both Steve Bryant and John Bannon said it was worthwhile. What a great little book! Twenty bucks for a well-produced book full of great tricks. There used to be a lot of books like this, it's nice to see a new one.

When I stop to think about packet tricks, downloads, dvd's, etc...I can honestly say this book is the best $20 I have spent in magic. Absolutley a must have. If you were fortunate enough as I was to see Caleb perform them all in a lecture setting, you must take advantage of it.

From the review: "This is exactly the kind of thing you'll like if you like this kind of thing."

A very accurate statement, indeed. :o)

Thanks for the review, Michael. For anyone looking to see one of the routines in action, I just posted a video of me performing Reswindled on my blog at http://calebwiles.blogspot.com/2010/08/p......ris.html

Thanks for posting the video! What I liked about it is how everyone gets quiet as the trick goes on. You know they're paying attention.

Just two notes of congrats: first to Caleb Wiles, who I believe is now a full time magician. Welcome to a happier life buddy! I am glad you have followed your dream.

And, I'm happy to say, Vanishing Inc now has High Spots (and Holy Blank, his ingenious thought-of card effect that seems to have coasted under the radar) back in stock again, for those who may have missed this incredible first effort when it was released:

Thanks all!

At My Lovely Assistant, both Holy Blank and High Spots get the praise they deserve:

Five Star ratings for both.

When I acquired High Spots, I didn't know who Caleb was and therefore had no idea what to expect. I read it on a plane and my jaw dropped. I couldn't believe how commercial everything was. Terrific book!

Really a terrific book. ReSwindled gets all the press, but for me, '26' is the standout effect. It's a ballsy piece of performance art, really, my favorite kind of trick. I do it with the Daley's "Delight Switch" (as suggested in the footnotes) and it gets the oogly eyes from spectators.
