I have an older Jim Pace Electric Hot Leads. Does anyone know of a replacement battery that will work? Jim told me that Polaroid had made the battery and no longer does. Anyone else have this same problem and what did you do? I don't want to be stuck with something I purchased and now can't use. Any help is appreciated.

Have you tried Ebay? I always find old things there. Although I don't think you'll just find the batteries since I think they were extracted from packs of film. But I bet you'll find the old film on ebay and then you can open the case and take the battery out? Just a suggestion. Sounds like it might be a lot of work though.. Maybe it's time to retire it and get a new one? Personally, I just ordered Peter Austin's new BUSINESS CARD EXPLOSION which is just amazing! The business cards ignite instantly, the wallet resets instantly and it requires no flash products. You should at least just check out his demo video at his website:

Thank you Peter. I didn't know that the batteries were not available until I contacted Jim. I'm stuck with a wallet that can't be used. Money spent.

David,
I'm not sure you read everything I said...lol Did you try searching for the old Polaroid film packs on ebay? I was told by an associate, that even after they were used the batteries still held a huge charge and lasted for quite some time. I'm not sure exactly which film battery it used but I just did a search on ebay for "old polaroid film" and found an auction for $20 (including shipping) with 8 (EIGHT) packs of Polaroid 600 film AND the Camera as well! You can take the pictures and then have the batteries for the wallet! This film is apparently from around 2001 and I'm thinking this very well might be the right film. On a hunch I did a search for "Polaroid 600" and found even MORE film at dirt cheap prices. Sometimes just a little research can save you money and aggravation...lol Anyway, take a few minutes to check out ebay. If you'd like, find out which film pack Jim Pace used, I and I will be glad to help you find some if it exists. Hope this helps! The Magic Maker PS I'm not Peter, just a dedicated customer... |

TheMagicMaker,
I realized that I do not hand out business cards so much in my working style so I do not carry this with me. If I wanted to give my business card effectively to someone, this is what I would think of but since I can not calculate that time,I do not carry this with me. |

Doruk,
OK... That is quite logical.. Is this the one that is Manual or is it the newest one that works electronically with the rechargeable batteries? |

Mine is the electronic one, never needed to the change the batteries so I don't know if they are rechargable, dont see it as a problem if they are not tough.

OK... you must have the same one as David with the Polaroid battery pack which is quite a few years old. If you had the newest one, it would have come with a recharger and the wallet would have metal tabs so that it could be recharged. The new one I don't think has been out for more than a year and its price is $125.00 so you would know if it was the latest. Does the battery still hold a charge?

Yes it does work as I have only tried it a few times and I'm sure the batteries are available in sources like you have told. And you are right ,mine must be the previous version.
