Hello Guys,
my name is Alexander Kölle and creator of the HAWK and the upcoming DVD HAWK 2.0 So far it is nice to hear that you like the effect. I just wanna give you some points on the new HAWK 2.0. BTW I took the trailer down again, because it was supposed to be just for Paul Harris to see it, because we are still in process with the DVD and it is not done yet. Hopefully it is out next month. SO.... The first HAWK DVD wasn't planned to release it world wide and it is a nice DVD but shot with only one cam and only in the studio. The length is almost 30 min long and I only talk about THE HAWK (standard Version). Now it is such a big hype and all the pros like it and it left germany and europ. So I decided to make a brand new DVD, shot with 3 professional cameras in a professional Close Up Theater. The new DVD is packed with 3 different effects (THE HAWK, THE STEALTH HAWK with the coin, and the LUCKY CARD, which is a 100% angle proof and really easy also for beginners where you can use every borrowed deck) The DVD has a runningtime of 147 min with detailed explanations and over shoulder views. We shot with live audience and as a special starguest is Stephan Kirschbaum from the Flicking Fingers. Some people write here that you cannot perform it close up and only in the dark. That is not true. I perform it everywhere and all the time. It is true that some angles are a bit critical but on the new DVD we also explained how to handle this. There are a few clean ups on the DVD for beginners and for advanced magicians. I performed it at THE SESSION for some pros like Garcia, Ben Williams, Dynamo, Joshua Jay and also here at the CARD WORKSHOP for the Germany Pros like Denis Behr, Pit Hartling, Thomas Fraps, Christoph Bohrer,... and even after they saw it 3 times in a row, they had no idea how it works. Best thing is you can hand everything out for examination and the two signatures KILLED them. So stay tuned and you don't have to wait long, I promise. For more questions, felle free to contact me. Best wishes Alex Posted: Apr 3, 2010 10:05am Oh btw.... sure you have to practice this to show it. But it is not hard to you.But if you practice it, I promise you, you can show it everywhere and in every situation. Bye Alex

Funny thing is some of these reviews totally contradict each-other, this led me to wonder if some gimmicks were just made better then others? As with any acrobatic card, what they see and don't see is based on the speed of the switch and strength of what makes the gimmick work. I personally will side with the majority here and take the plunge once this is released, I heard really great things about this effect and I was just recently PM'd by a really trusted and credible magician here on the Café on how great this effect actually looks in person, I trust this person and am going with it. I am really looking forward to this effect, now just awaiting a release from ya! BTW, 147 min with detailed explanations is an INSANE amount of time for a card gimmick!!! That's a lot of teaching Alex, but I guess this just shows the pride and confidence you have for your effect, which is always a good thing! Thanks again Alex for your input! Paul |

Hi Paul,
I followed the forumsa lotwhen I released it here in Germany and the most people love it and some don't like it, but it will be always like this. And I offered my help to everyone who doesn't like it but then I had to stop offering my help to everybody, because I don't know the people who don't like it. Maybe they are beginners and didn't put enough effort and work in this effect, I don't know. Which really counts for me is, that all the working pros I showed it to, they use it already in their daily work and they really love it. Also some well known magicians use it already and this makes me happy. I am a perfectionist and that why I double checked each gimmick before I packed them and I made all the gimmicks myself for the first DVD. Some people tried different effects with the gimmick and that's why they broke it. I send them new gimmicks for free. And yes 147 min are long, but I cover each and every small detail, there are 3 effects with 3 different Gimmicks (2 you will get with the DVD), a in the depth construction part of the gimmicks, troubleshooting, Demos, ideas and explanations and I cover each and every angle with 3 cameras. that's what makes the DVD 147 min long. But is is fun to watch because the music is great, the audience is great and the effects are great. And I stand a 150% behind THE HAWK because I use it every day and it never failed with the reactions and it is really for working magicians also in close up conditions. So I don't understand why some people write that it has to be dark and far away. Sure it is easier when it is dark, but so is a TT too. If ou know how to handle it you can perform it everywhere. Hope this helped you Best wishes Alex PS: The two gimmicks you will get with the DVD are completly different.

Hello Everyone
Got some news today about Hawk 2.0 from Paul. Apparently we (Paul Harris Presents) will be getting ad copy about it any day, and we should be carrying it (don't quote me now) in six weeks or so. Should sell for about $35 or $40. Janet Harris |

This looks to be valuable in conjunction with a number of other effects.

BTW, the $35-$40 price tag is a steal IMO, much better then the $60 plus just months ago coming from Europe! On top of that we are getting 2 extra gimmicks and a 147 min DVD!!! Can't beat it! Thanks again Janet! Paul |

I am usually 99.9% behind the creator of any effect when decided not to air there product before hand, but in this case I feel the vid Alex took down was his strongest example of what this effect is about, I feel it was a mistake to do so. Obviously this is just my opinion, as I'm sure Alex has his own plans for his U.S. release. Paul |

^^^ I'm sure as well I am a HUGE supporter of any Ambitious Card revelation that sparks some new light from the old trapezes style candlelight. This looks to be a real problem solver
I'm banking on condolence and tapelines frescoes for a magnificent revelation, this effect is really a starter to a congeal effect of playing with the mind. |

This really made me shout expletives, very loudly when I saw it at The Session earlier this year!
Cannot be done close up? All I have to say about that is PHOOEY! I was about 4 or 5 foot away (MAX) and had no idea what the hell just happened! To start with, I didn't know what I was about to see, I had stumbled outside with Brett Bishop to chat whilst some people had a smoke, this is what I saw or remember (a key point if you think about lay spectators). A signed card (signed by the spectator front and back) was lost in the pack and an indifferent card was on top of the deck, a coin was placed on top of the deck and a couple of seconds later a FACE DOWN SIGNED card just appeared there, I mean, JUST APPEARED THERE!! The coin was slid off and the face was shown as the signed card and it was handed out. It looked AMAZING, it definitely was the most visual and startling thing I saw at the Session 2010. This was so magical it really made me swear! Well done Alex, amazing effect and I wish you every success with it! Best, Ben Williams |

Is the U.S. release going to come with a fully assembled original gimmick? or are we gonna have to make each gimmick ourselves? I understand there are a few different possible ways to make the gimmick, depending on which version you are performing, just wondering if we get the original gimmick fully assembled? Thanks! P.S. Nice Pic BTW! Paul |

You will get a 149 min long DVD plus 2 Gimmicks (Standard Hawk and Lucky Card Gimmick)which are ready to perform the effect. But I explain a lot of different versions which you can built on your own, thanks to the detailed explenation part.
All the best Alex Posted: Apr 22, 2010 9:48pm Ohhh... and you get enough material to build at least 12 more gimmicks. I think this is a good deal, isn't it? Best wishes Alex
