MagicFreak2,
Was there any stuff in "Broken" that you figured out before you bought it and then found out you were right when you read it? Like my "Thoughts Across" routine, only I never sent that to you. Still waiting on an answer for that. -rob |

I loved the Zoran essay/story. It was truly inspiring. I am glad that was in there.

Listen, kid, Actually I just finished my second semester at college. 3.5 GPA. Thanks for the kind thought anyways, though. Quote:

I'm insulted that you think that I would buy this! I posted it for free... Around Christmas time. Why don't you take a look? Look at the post date as well. Look at the effect as well while your at it. And no, I haven't found a way to hack the Café's post dates, sorry... Quote:
I love your qualifying "To tell you the truth" statement you applied there to try and back up your lie. I tell you the truth. It's yours to twist. Enjoy. Actually you bring to mind strings of an old Rudyard Kipling poem I called 'If' "If You can bear to hear the words you've spoken, twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools..." Or the part where it says "or being lied about don't deal in lies, or being hated don't give way to hating" I may not fit the next part however "yet don't look to good nor talk too wise" Quote:
Yawn... That joke got old a long time ago. I love debating with people who can't see past their own noses. Like you. Lose or win I always get a good laugh at the end of the day. You know what they say, laughter is the best medicine. ------------------------------------ Back to the topic.... Don's Svenvelope principle for forcing a word was perhaps the most useful force I've learned in a long while. |

Lybrary.com states that there is a Phantom Phone effect in this ebook. It sounds simple, yet so deceptive. Has anyone tried it out, and any thoughts regarding it?

Does anyone perform Phantom Phone? My assumption is that it is good, but I need evidence from you that it is a worker in the real-world.

Mike,
It's a nice concept but be aware you use a REAL phone... Your own phone! And on my phone which is old as hills (!) that effect won't work... Having said that, the method Don offers can be applied to other revelations.
Then you'll rise right before my eyes, on wings that fill the sky, like a phoenix rising!

I'm a late comer to this party, but I really enjoyed this book. Don Theo did a great job with the writing. I like the routines, but the thinking that went into each routine was the best. I particularly liked the Intermezzo section where he talked about real world examples of times where he had the opportunity to perform truly once in a lifetime effects under the right circumstances. Overall, the book really made me think. Great job, Don.
By the way, I just wrote a full review of this on my blog. Here's the link: http://www.calebwilesmagic.com/?p=714 Caleb http://www.CalebWilesMagic.com

I'm home and up with the flu/bruised ribs so to pass time I've been digging through my old emails and stumbled upon this beauty - no idea if this work is still available but despite its age it really is a breath of fresh air. Honest hardworking pieces written with flair and humor. The story shared at the end of the book is just wonderful also....
By the way reading through the comments posted on this thread reminded me of the fantastic contributors that used to hang out here (some of which are still active!) Now back to my reading and back to being a very bad, milking it for all its worth patient. |
